"Controlling the message coming out of Donald Trump’s White House may seem like an impossible task — and it’s one that many are hesitant to try right now.

The White House has gone without a full-time communications director since Trump was sworn in last month, and although chief of staff Reince Priebus is spearheading a robust effort to fill the position, his overtures to several Republican communications professionals have been met with disinterest, according to a half-dozen sources with knowledge of the situation. At least two candidates have turned down the job, a position normally coveted by Washington political operatives, according to another source familiar with the conversations."

When posting in MSN, besides several paragraphs' lead-in, I usually try my best to bring some insight or personal opinion to get the discussion going.

But in this case, I'm posting as much out of the humorous aspects of the article!

So, without further adieu:

Who wants the job? Any hands?

Sure, I'll take it. I wouldn't mind being paid for coming up with various ways of saying, "because f**k you, that's why".

I think you need to have at least minored in turdpolishing.

I will take the job. Polishing a turd is not that hard.

Sure...I'll take it. Provided I get a one year contract, paid in full up front.

Than I will go out and say 'Donald Trump is mentally unstable', get fired, collect my money and go home.

Sweet deal for one day's work.

I bet the thing comes with an NDA, too!

Bannon and Miller already control the message out of the WH .

Steve Schmidt, a veteran of the George W. Bush White House who ran John McCain’s presidential campaign.
There sure are a lot of bitter hateful losers who are failures at everything they've ever done coming out of the woodwork to attack Trump.

And once again more "anonymous sources". Looks like the MSM is once again doing their damndest to fill pages by making things up because they can't be bothered to report on things that matter.

I wonder if Trump is even aware that there is a Communications Director position.

I've heard rumour this guy's applying:

Well, coincidently there's this:

CNN: White House ramping up search for communications director after Spicer's rocky start

And it seems the position is still empty ...

Donald Trump is an unpredictable wildcard.

Not at all surprising that the position would be hard to find a volunteer...

Sure, I'll take it. I wouldn't mind being paid for coming up with various ways of saying, "because f**k you, that's why".

Sean Spicer is getting pretty good at it. I've watched him every day so far, and he's getting better and better. Today's quickie version was "you really do need to slow your roll" to a reporter that went off the reservation for a second and interrupted Spicer, which garnered Spicer a number of audible laughs from the press corps when he said it in a very "**** you" kind of way.

1. Your source is CNN so there's a 90% chance they're lying.
2.
A source familiar with internal communications said President Donald Trump is disappointed in Spicer's performance during the first two weeks of the administration.
What's the name of "the source familiar with internal communications"?
3. There are lots of posts that are empty simply because they don't need to be filled. Personally I'm fine with the job Spicer is doing. His primary purpose is to tell the media to go to hell and distract them with bull****. He's doing a great job.

That's funny. I always thoughr the job of the White House Press Secretary was to control the media's reception of the White House's message so that the President and his initiatives weren't viewed by the press and then subsequently the American people incorrectly. I guess all of Spicer's hundreds of predecessors were doing it all wrong. I mean, all of Obama's Press Secretaries apparently were supposed to say "**** you" to the media and just simply let we the people be clueless about what Obama was doing.

Yes exactly. Obama's press secretaries frequently lied to the American people and engaged in misinformation campaigns. Obama lied about the ACA and the press secretary fed bull**** to the American people. Obama lied about spying on the American people and the press secretary fed bull**** to the American people. Obama lied to the American people about the war in Libya and Syria and the press secretary fed bull**** to the American people.

Trump's press secretary is a huge improvement. He's telling the media to **** off and Trump is telling the truth to the American people.

So you supported the lies from the Obama administration. Good to know.

That's a pretty far cry from how I felt about the Obama administration. It's pretty early in the morning, perhaps you need more coffee?

Looks like a job that could be cut from the organization chart.

You said it's the job of the PS to tell the media to go to hell and distract them with bull**** (and in Spicer's case, some lies too). Now you criticize Obama's people for doing exactly that.

Long term planning and communicating policy would be replaced by having to apologize every single day for Trump's previous night's embarrassing tweets.

No thanks.

You need to have some coffee.
Obama lying is bad.
The press secretary polishing those lies is his job. I did not criticize the PS for polishing those lies, I criticized Obama for lying.

See how those are different? Lastly, Spicer telling the media to go to hell is a breath of fresh air. Again, you need to take a step back this early in the morning because you appear to be losing it.

B.S.

The White House PS job is to communicate and clarify the President's thoughts & actions to the People.

You're forgetting who works for who here, and who pays who's salary.

But your statement does quite possibly reflect the demeanor of the Trump administration, which is why they had troubles and resistance from the get-go. And if they don't change, I predict it will get worse, perhaps even to the point of impeachment. The American People will not stand for a unaccountable dictator, and that's what your post seemingly proposes.
