Trump struggling to fill one of the worst jobs in Washington

B.S.

The White House PS job is to communicate and clarify the President's thoughts & actions to the People.

You're forgetting who works for who here, and who pays who's salary.

But your statement does quite possibly reflect the demeanor of the Trump administration, which is why they had troubles and resistance from the get-go. And if they don't change, I predict it will get worse, perhaps even to the point of impeachment. The American People will not stand for a unaccountable dictator, and that's what your post seemingly proposes.

What do you mean unaccountable? Trump is doing everything he said he's going to do? He, and most certainly not his people communicating for him, are under any obligation to co-operate with the MSM. Those people have been caught flat out lying multiple times after his election, which is nothing compared to them literally getting caught sabotaging BERNIE SANDERS before Trump's election. Trump's obligations are to the people and I don't begrudge him for favoring the people who voted for him over the people who oppose him no matter what. That doesn't make him a dictator, it makes him prudent. There's no point in trying to appeal to liberals who have already flip-flopped on many of their own positions just so that they could be in opposition to Trump.

We disagree with the role of the press here, where I see press conferences as a vetting by the People, you see them as dicing with the enemy. Since Trump did get to where he is without the support of much of the press, I obviously have to give your opinion some credence here.

But I do believe you (and he) are wrong here, in that turning against the press (and I would add by extension, 'the People') will allow him to prevail.

But he did get this far, so I'll respectfully say: "We shall see"

Looks like a job that could be cut from the organization chart.
Their communications are amazingly fubbed-up as it is; let's not suggest making it worse!

Long term planning and communicating policy would be replaced by having to apologize every single day for Trump's previous night's embarrassing tweets.

No thanks.
No, there would be no apology allowed. You would be expected to double down on every lie The Donald & Bannon tell, in the same manner as Conway & Spicer.

Nice post/s.
Who can think of a more hideous and career-killing job than losing one's soul for Madman Trumpov?
He's already got the two best Re-Liars in Spicer and Kellyanne-never-answer-only-spin-a-question.
No self-respecting sane or moral person wants the job of Psycho-apologist.
But it appears we DO have one good candidate for Trump Attack dog/ComSec in this very string!

"Controlling the message coming out of Donald Trump’s White House may seem like an impossible task — and it’s one that many are hesitant to try right now.

The White House has gone without a full-time communications director since Trump was sworn in last month, and although chief of staff Reince Priebus is spearheading a robust effort to fill the position, his overtures to several Republican communications professionals have been met with disinterest, according to a half-dozen sources with knowledge of the situation. At least two candidates have turned down the job, a position normally coveted by Washington political operatives, according to another source familiar with the conversations."

When posting in MSN, besides several paragraphs' lead-in, I usually try my best to bring some insight or personal opinion to get the discussion going.

But in this case, I'm posting as much out of the humorous aspects of the article!

So, without further adieu:

Who wants the job? Any hands?

I thought Twitter had this job.

You need to have some coffee.
Obama lying is bad.
The press secretary polishing those lies is his job. I did not criticize the PS for polishing those lies, I criticized Obama for lying.

See how those are different? Lastly, Spicer telling the media to go to hell is a breath of fresh air. Again, you need to take a step back this early in the morning because you appear to be losing it.

Obama isn't President anymore. The liar in the White House IS.

I had plenty of coffee yesterday. Today, too.

I understand their communications. What is it about them that you don't understand? What is it about a communication director that would change it?

That's exactly the point.

My O.P. is as much to point-out the humour of the situation, and I stated as much.

We all know they're FUBAR'd.

No doubt about that.

No denying it. Sean Spicer is a bit painful to watch.
