That's an extreme effort.

There is probably a lot weed fields growing across the Texas Hill Country that would yield 4000 lbs. :lol: Mexico isn't noted for having the best products anyway.

But for every bust made, there's probably 100s more loads that don't get caught so...meh!

It's a huge waste of taxpayer's money to waste on trying to catch pot smugglers. Or any other forms of drugs, IMO.

Mexico has been touting their agricultural shipments as a reason why we shouldn't have bad relations. They can go **** themselves.

I don't think someone with 4000 pounds of weed is selling it by the ounce.That person is probably trying to unload it quickly as possible due to the fact it can land that person some serious prison time. That person is probably selling it in a massive bulk to a major distributor who is selling it in a slightly smaller bulk to other distributors until it works its way to other local distributors who are selling it by the ounce or less. Like other products weed is cheaper when bought in bulk. The only person who is buying an ounce off someone with 4000 pounds of weed is probably a really good friend or relative the dealer likes.

I was just commenting on what the article said the street value was, I think they missed a zero and a comma.

What a waste. They should just give this stuff to medical marijuana patients whenever it's seized coming into the country.

because drug dealers love harsh drug laws, it's more profitable for them. As law enforcement is wholly incapable of catching even a small fraction of them. They purposely operate in the strictest environments.

The Drug War is the single best thing to happen to the illegal drug trade. Just like prohibition was the single greatest thing to happen to organized crime.

I read somewhere the reefer addicts were all up in arms because the price of MJ in legal states has skyrocketed. This amuses me.
