Media covered most of 78 terror attacks Trump said 'not even being reported'

Trump and his goons continue to lie and it has to stop. At least it looks like the US media are pushing back. Even Fox News is pushing back, although not exactly with teeth...

Looking at the 3 Danish "attacks" it gets even more hilarious.

Attack 1.) The attack of Omar Abdel Hamid el-Hussein against a political meeting in Copenhagen. First off, he was Danish and yes a Muslim. Secondly he was a known criminal that went nuts. Is it terror? Sure.
Attack 2.) Knife attack by asylum seeker in an asylum center.. not a terror attack.
Attack 3.) Drug related attack, not a terror attack.

So if we go by Fuhrer Trumps conditions of what is a terror attack, then god the US is hard hit hourly! If every drug crime and knife attack is a terror attack, then holy crap the US has a serious terror problem by... Christian Americans. When will Christians be banned from the US?

Keep in mind the list of attacks was compiled from the media.

I don't like Trump, but he isn't quite as wrong in this as you seem to want him to be. But you are right that the reporting should be more precise and it should always put the type of attack in a clear statistical frame of reference. On the other hand thinking of him as a "Führer" is quaint.

PS: Terror seems to be perceived oddly. If there are say just to take a number out of the air 50 killed and 300 wounded in attacks in a country the size of Germany in a year, this pales in comparison to the number of deaths and maimed that die, because hospital personell doesn't practice state of the arts or even basic hygiene. But the topics are reported selectively and thus perhaps the population recognizes one as a major and the other as a forgettable problem.

It seems to me quite natural that the media might over report some types of killings. Just think of the police shooting Blacks issue. What would be interesting would be analysis of a count of mentions of terrorist hits.

You are quite right that a government should be or at least try to be correct in the information it uses in comments. And, as are you, I am somewhat perturbed by the loose use Trump sometimes chooses. Where I probably think differently is that the reporting in the past has been much better in its results. The systematically selective use of reports that have been politically correct has had a damaging impact that is to a good extent the root cause that we now are saddled with a man like Trump as President.

Yes he is for the most part. Listen I would have supported a travel ban to and from war torn countries, but the way he did it was... idiotic. And then he comes out with this list... full of typos, incomplete, and oddly enough excludes right wing terror attacks.

Terror is just an excuse to bash someone, just as other minorities and organisations are used as excuses. The word terror and act, is now so diluted that it basically means nothing. Why? When a white christian commits terror, then it is not terror, but the acts of a mentally handicapped person. But when a Muslim does the exact same thing, then it is terror... When country X commits a clear terror attack, it is justified as defending the country or war on terror, but when country Y does it, then it is state sponsored terror.. pathetic.

1. It was less "the way he did it", though, that does share part of the blame. It was more the way it has been reported. The document does not seem at all as horrific and reading it impartially, it would be very sad to find a high court ruling it counter Constitutional. Add to this fact that it does not restrict the movement of most Muslims, but does restrict the movement of non Muslims from the 7 countries....
2. True. Presidents and other politicians have been very bad at the reference systems they have used. That is part of the problem society is having in many areas.
But it has been exacerbated by the media that have tended not to find the correct frame of reference or often even chosen to report in a manner tendentiously in support of their own goals.
3. I think that the Hitler comparison only robs people using it of the presumption of honesty in the eyes of the beholder. Every President is potentially dangerous and must be kept an eye on. That is why the system of control is so complex and manifold. In this case the watching is especially commendable, because this man is acting differently than any predecessor and his method has been populist. Very much as Obama had to be watched and a man like Senator Sanders would have to be watched closely. The latter would be especially dangerous as he relies on a consistent if faulty system of consistent ideology that he and his deciples seem to believe like a religion. But in general every President is a danger. We lend them enormous power over ourselves and only an idiot does so without being nervous about it.

Fake news is fake news. Trump didn't say the news didn't report TERRORISM, he said they no longer report ISIS attrocities. He is right that the news has severely limited the time they give to the ongoing ISIS attrocities.

It's fine to attack the president on what he says, but you look dumb dedicating so much effort attacking him for what he didn't say.

The Orange Reality denier even put the San Bernandino attack and the attack on that night club, even here that was covered wall to wall 24/7 and from watching US media it was even reported at a much higher level than in Europe and he includes that in a list of under reported terror :lamo:lamo:lamo

How about claiming that ICE and border patrol officers unanimously endorsed him for president? Really not one voted for Hillary? Or did not vote because they did not like either candidate. Yeah, have fun Trump proving that.
