With the way the media has gone after him before the election it's close to unbelievable that he was able to get elected. Now that he's been sworn in, the media has doubled down on him. He's made some mistakes -- some serious, some not so much, but according to the media and the Democrats you'd think he was a white nationalist neo-Nazi that hasn't done anything correctly.

I don't really like the way he uses Twitter. I don't like the way he talks off the cuff and gets pissed off like a 9 year old at times when people say bad things about him. I didn't like it when he said something bad about the new host of his old TV show -- be the President fuchrisesake and don't worry about crap that doesn't matter.

Has he earned the bad poll numbers? Probably. Have his bad numbers had help from others that get legitimized by the press by doing NOTHING but attacking him? Hell yes.

Screwing up is not all he's done, he's made some good moves as well, IMHO. I gave credit to Obama when he acted properly on an issue, and I will do the same with Trump.

As for what polls say, this nation is not governed by polls. Nor should it be. One of the major problems with the last Administration is they tended to bend with the poll of the day, which led them to more indecision than any previous time in our history.
 
He's actually the most popular person in history. Not just Presidents, he's more popular than the Buddha.

Coming from pollsters who spent the last year getting everything wrong. Who said Hillary had a 90+% chance of winning. Who said she would get a landslide record setting electoral win. Who when they could no longer ignore Trumps huge campaign rally crowds predicted he might win the popular vote but Hillary would still get 350+ electoral votes.

That's an infinitely more complex prediction that's somewhat arbitrary (the electoral vote). It's based on polling, but ultimately it's an arbitrary number based on many factors.

A simple poll is a simple poll. That's why polls like "do you approve of legalizing marijuana?" are incredibly consistent, especially in specific areas. On referendums, polling again and again proves to be extremely accurate. What worries me is that the stupid memes like "fake news" and "fake polls" are echoed by people who don't read or understand what they're talking about. They just like the person who said it and agree with their partisan views. So it's has to be right! Why, do tell, are the polls so very wrong here? Who isn't being represented?
 
Why all the push-back here?

It's a poll. There's no Electoral College to hide behind, and over-ride the results. It is what it is. Deal with it.
 
Are these the same polls that showed Clinton easily winning?

OMG with all the news reporting across the country that diverts from what trump is actually doing, the 20,000 stock market, pro business growth EO's why am I not surprised. When is the next anti Trump thread on what he had for breakfast this morning or how he simply woke up on the WH in an election result created by Russian Hacking?

What a radical leftwing group we have in this country and yet the ones upset are the anti Trump radical zealots represented in this forum. The Actual Trump voters are working, taking advantage of the 20,000 stock market and increasing opportunities in the labor market

Just a question what is the going rate today for paying protesters and how are people not protesting going to get a job with those protests on their resume?

Approval ratings mean squat. Obama's was relatively high his his entire Presidency but it didn't transfer over to wins for the Democratic party

Guess people liked the guy but hated his agenda and policies.

Questioning the signifigance a Presidents approval ratings isnt necessarily " push back ", especially when you consider that Obama's High approval ratings didn't equate to positive election results for his party.

If there's no Political consequence for having low or high approval ratings then why produce them ?

Besides being members of the same political party, there's little to compare in popularity numbers between the two.

Folks. Ignore what politicians say and what the media says about them. Pay attention to what they do. Trump is doing things that will contribute to the common good if the swamp lets him do it. Don't pay attention to the onslaught. It is what Shakespeare wrote in MacBeth - "sound and fury signifying nothing."

Exactly, his actions on the Keystone and Dakota pipeline, relaxing of EPA regulations on coal, meeting with Ford, GM, and Carrier to keep jobs in this country, focus on tax and regulation reform are all pro growth policies that will take GDP up over the stagnant Obama GDP and then what will the left have to complain about. They don't want the public to see what is going on behind the scenes therefore are doing anything they can to grab the headlines like they are doing with victory laps over the 9th Circuit overturn of the President's 90 DAY BAN ON IMMIGRATION. Wow, now that is a major win for the left

Because FAKE news is what you want it to be and ignore what the EO's actually did for coal miners, oil producers, our budget, economic activity and what Congress is now doing on tax reform and ACA
