Hill Republicans revolt over Trump's plans to build border wall

Who said that they aren't American citizens? Jesus, why do you libs always have to go off the deep end with your straw men?

Obviously your accusation of this lib poster going off the end with his straw men missed this lib simply adopting alt-right bannonistan techniques.

How many GOP senators and governors like Pence have had campaign money donated to them by DeVos ?

You mean a good many of them are afraid of losing their cheap, exploitable illegal labor force...

Maybe they just don't want to spend $20 Billion on a stupid wall that won't keep anyone out anyway.

yeah- because members of teachers unions are not American citizens with legitimate concerns for the nation.

trump/Bannon would prefer to bring white nationalists into the mainstream while disrespecting our ALLIES.

trump/Bannon now realize that Bibi is walking all over them with settlements as Putin is walking all over them in Ukraine .

The money has already been allocated. President Trump only has to get started.

Congress allocates the money, and they have decided they don't want to give it to him.

Wait, first it was 10B, then 15B, then between 10B and 15B....Now it's 20B...you guys just grab **** out of thin air...

Yes GOP businessmen are afraid of losing their cheap, exploitable illegal labor force in TX and across the South.

As southern GOP senators, such as Corker, Alexander, Cornyn, and Portman, just to name a few of yer adults, are now coming out against the wall .

Speaker of the House disagrees with your liberal interpretation....

We're only using numbers coming from the GOP, which continue to change, because they haven't got a ****ing clue as to what they're doing between trump/Bannon and the GOP lawmakers .

If they build it, it will cost $50B. Wanna bet?

Very few people--even Democrats--seem to be discussing the bigger issue, and that is why people would want to cross the border illegally in the first place.

Hint: This isn't nearly as bad a problem on the US-Canadian border.

To me it's simple: If you're basic living needs are being met - housing, food, water, clothing, job security and by extension education and health care - then you don't necessarily flee your country in pursuit of greener pastures.

Let us know when the Freedom Caucus agrees to anything with Ryan, since they didn't with Boehner either.

While the GOP Senate won't touch this to protect their lawmakers across the Nation for the 2018 elections .

With Trump in charge? Yeah, I'd take that bet....

How long will it take?

I say over $50B and 10 years...and it gets half built at that.

We shall see won't we?

I take the under...on both...I'd say done before the end of the first term....Ok, what do you want to bet? $10 to DP?

Do you really think the GOP lawmakers are willing to let trump/Bannon throw it all away with their dicktatorial actions ?

Exactly. If Mexico didn't have so much poverty and wealth inequality, then we probably wouldn't even be having this discussion.

Another problem is all the smuggling. Drugs go north, and guns go south.

If Trump wants that border wall so badly, let him pay for it out of his own pocket, instead of picking mine.

Trump will need to fire Lisa Murkowski. Oh that's right - he can't do that. I'm sure he'll be working hard behind the scenes to get her discredited, and lose re-election.

"If you're going to spend that kind of money, you're going to have to show me where you're going to get that money," said Alaska Sen. Lisa Murkowski, a key swing vote who has already broken with Trump over his nominee for secretary of education.
"I don't see how you can get a bill like that through (Congress) without offsets," she added. "I don't see how that's possible."

How is that even remotely simple? I would also add that beyond that people also yern for a opprotunity to prosper. America has no obligation, legal or moral, to provide those things to our neighbors.

To be honest very few Canadians cross the border illegally. Those that do so are probably smuggling something.

Or lost, there's a few places it's easy to unknowingly cross. One section of the border is a house, depending on what door you exit you're in a different country.
