Detroit family caught in Iraq travel ban, mom dies waiting to come home

Does customs usually stop a person who has kidney disease from traveling?

If they are breaking the law or suspected of breaking the law, that is a yes.

If you want safety.... tell you president to get daily briefings from the National Security Council instead of demoting them to be puppy dogs that come running when Bannon whistles for them.

Yeah, trumpettes don't get to clamour about safety after that move.

The president can delegate responsibility to who he wishes. Get used to it.

You won't find Trumpettes care.

They simply don't see the sand niggers as full people, even if they won't admit it.

Kind of like some people see Jews, right?

Since no laws were broken and Having a Green Card means one may travel to and from the US

Apparently President Trump did not understand Green Cards and thought he could EO people with Green Cards from traveling back to the US from any the 7 countries named in his EO.

I think the DHS determines what a green card does now, after the order, not uninformed citizens.

I accept your concession here that basically says you don't care about Americans' safety and national security.

Guess you didn't hear that
Priebus put Trump in between a rock and hard place when he appeared on Meet the Press this last weekend and said Green card holders would be exempt from the " ban" when Trump had no intention of letting Green Card holders in.

It was walked back that evening.

The only people who have the absolute right to enter the US are citizens of the US (natural born or naturalized). Green card holders may be denied entry to the US for any reason at the judgement of the immigration officer at the point of entry. Trump can do whatever he wants with the others, so all of this crap is moot.

Do you have a reference to prove this? Or are you just regurgitating more fake news?

Inside sources said that that's why I said apparently instead of factually.

Priebus: Immigration Order ‘Doesn’t Include’ Green Card Holders, But Anyone Traveling to Banned Countries Will Be ‘Subjected to Further Screening'

by ALEXANDRA JAFFE

White House Chief of Staff Reince Priebus muddied the waters on President Donald Trump's new executive order barring immigration from select countries, saying Sunday it "doesn't include green card holders going forward" but adding that anyone traveling back and forth from the countries in question will be subject to further screening, including U.S. citizens.

No one asked for terrorists and if a few people are inconvenienced because the law is being enforced, so be it. Why doesn't the Left get their priorities straight and bitch about something that really needs fixing.

As opposed to the Cons that continually offer solutions for which there is no known problem.

1. They want voter ID to solve a voter fraud problem that simply does not exist (no study has ever said it did).
2. They want a wall along the southern border to stop illegal immigration, even though half of illegal immigrants fly into the country and currently there is a net exodus of Mexican immigrants.
3. They want to ban travellers from seven countries, even though there is no evidence that travellers from any of those countries have actually harmed Americans. The "terror" comes from American born persons, often (but not necessarily) of Muslim persuasion.

So, while you are spending all this time chalking the windows, the front door remains wide open. The Cons are such a clueless lot.

There is evidence ISIS has infiltrated refugees. That is good enough.

I said no such thing. Running out of things to whine about?

"Asked whether the executive order would affect U.S. citizens, he again indicated it would, suggesting it was up to the "discretionary authority" of a Customs and Border Patrol agent whether to question citizens coming from the countries in question. "

Granted, it sounds like there was some confusion. But, there is nothing to suggest that President Trump "did not understand Green cards." Priebus was merely clarifying the authority of the Customs and Immigration officials. I don't have access to your "inside sources" and can't possibly imagine how they would know what is in the mind of another person (President Trump in this case).

Iraq War Vet Lied About Mom's Death after Trump's Travel Ban

"Imam Husham Al-Hussainy, head of the Karbalaa Islamic Educational Center in Dearborn, Mich. told WJBK-TV that Mike Hager's mother died five days before Trump issued the executive order."

These fake anti-Trump stories are getting tedious. Fact checking among journalists seems to be a lost art, unless they just hate Trump so much that skipping a few details like the truth is a small price to pay when furthering the cause.

Much like those dozens of fake hate crimes against Muslims that were reported immediately after the election. Lesley Stahl even guilt tripped Trump into apologizing for hate crimes that never happened! They are living in a delusional lala land.

I am embarrassed that you think that commenting on a story that later turns out to be a lie is embarrassing in the first place...

Believe the issue is/was with those posters who elected to double down after the story was proven bogus....

Banning people with valid green cards, Visa's and permits is wrong and I hope those people personally sue Trump.

That said, the guy was not a veteran... according to the article, at least.

You really need to read further into the thread before posting this type of comment. I am embarrassed for you.:slapme:

hmmm...:thinking

Yeah. Better luck next time...

Exactly. Thanks pragmatic. I really had no idea where to go with this exchange. I would guess that between quotes 2 and 3 above Bod took my advice and went back and read the thread.

Nope. I commented on the OP. My comment is in response to that and is correct.

I stand by my comment. Read the thread before you post. It will save you a lot of grief.

Why is this not a valid statement: "Banning people with valid green cards, Visa's and permits is wrong..."
