Justice Dept. will not defend executive order on travel restrictions

This is getting wild and crazy. Wow! Of course, we must not forget the DOJ is being temporarily led by an Obama appointee. And that the Democrats are holding up the Trump nominee.

Twilight Zone, I tell ya'.

The Democrats can delay, but they can't stop, appointments. Trump can simply fire anyone if he so chooses and leave the second in command in command.

This is great....even his own govt is turning on him.

You appluade government employees, especially DOJ lawyers ignoring their oath? If it's ok to do it to President Trump, it's ok to donit to a President you do like. What will you say, then?

Which is not really the point. The point is that this a prelude of the sort of reception Trump's executive orders can expect to meet in Federal courts every time they're challenged.

Maybe so. Maybe no.

Wait until the racist POS Jeff Sessions takes over. Any immigrant, green card holder or here on visa, who is not Christian, white and squeaky clean will probably get deported.

Sessions doesn't certainly appear to be a racist.

The mainstream media’s new narrative is that incoming Attorney General Jeff Sessions, hand-picked by President-Elect Donald Trump, is a racist.
When, in fact, that’s a complete lie.
Sessions actually has a long history of standing with Civil Rights leaders. Here’s Sessions marching in Selma on the Anniversary of the Civil Rights landmark event with Civil Rights leaders.

So, please mainstream media, keep telling us how much a racist Sessions is.
The fact that the media didn’t learn their lesson from the presidential election, with their constant name-calling of Trump, is pathetic.
And now they think this Sessions hit-job will work.
It’s not working!

How did you come to the conclusion that he's a racist?

Interesting. I hadn't even thought of that. Tx!

It's all doctored. It's all fake. That's photoshopped. Don't even GO there!!! ;)

Aaahhh. Hmm. I think it more likely that calling sessions a racist is fake news.

This is great....even his own govt is turning on him.

No. It's the remnants of the old government turning against him.

In the words of the gastroenterologist, this too shall pass.

Greetings, jimbo. :2wave:

Great play on words!

This is the result of Obama turning the Department of Justice into the Department of Social Justice.

Wasn’t Sally Yates part of the group within the Justice Department that protected Hillary by denying the FBI use of a grand jury and search warrants, and also tried to squash FBI investigations of the Clinton Foundation?

I can wait....there will be enough career people turning against him.

Wait away. I think you vastly underestimate the power of the cushy government pension just down the road.

In any event one way to cut staff by 20% is for 20% to quit or get fired.

The truth beyond the photo op and RW spin

As a prosecutor in the 1980s, Sessions pursued a voter fraud case against three activists—Albert Turner, Evelyn Turner, and Spencer Hogue—who spearheaded voter registration efforts on behalf of black voters in Alabama. They gave assistance to those needing help casting a ballot, from elderly voters to those who were illiterate or who could not get to the polls on Election Day. Sessions indicted the three on the charge that this assistance was a crime, despite its protection under the Voting Rights Act. Moreover, Sessions declined to investigate similar activity among groups working with white candidates. The double standard was so egregious that a court agreed with the defendants that Sessions’ office “was activated by constitutionally impermissible motives such as racial … discrimination.”
Jeff Sessions fights for racist outcomes. Who care what’s in his heart?

Restrictions are not an outright ban. You may want to check your dictionary for the exact definitions.
