Barack Obama has broken his silence on his successor’s presidency after only 10 days, issuing a short statement that attacks Donald Trump’s controversial travel ban.

“The president [Obama] fundamentally disagrees with the notion of discriminating against individuals because of their faith or religion,” a spokesman for Obama said.

Like his golf game, he shanked, chili-dipped, 3-whacked this one... like the 36-handicap politician he is.

Resembling the media that served as his lap dog, he is never going to be remembered for being honest or accurate.

And yet Trump didn't discriminate because of religion or faith. Dishonest is right.

“For the First Time”?! Trump's been President for TEN days! In eight years, I don't believed Bush criticized Obama once!

He's still around. He just isn't allowed to be legally President any longer. Sorry if that breaks your heart. If you want a dictator for life, try changing the Constitution. :)

America. America deserves better than the sentient tire fire that followed him.

He is who America picked, just like theY picked Obama,,,,DEAL WITH IT

America, increasingly, appears to have made a great mistake.

It's all relative I suppose. A tire fire is preferable to a dumpster fire.

Not entirely. There's that whole, he didn't get more votes than Clinton, thing. Also, the regret is HIGH. He's already over 50% with his disapproval rating, and he's only been in office a little over a week.

What was that, 10 days before he criticizes his replacement?

Sounds like him.

I almost hope that Hussein keeps talking. He was SO great for the Dems in the House and Senate.

Obama should have had the class that other Presidents have displayed in the past, and kept his big mouth shut. He is a complete loser that can't stand to see his legacy evaporate into thin air...

America deserved better that Obama.

Makes you wish there would have been a Gingrich, or Romney administration beginning in 2012, eh?

Obama was nowhere near close to a dumpster fire.

Again, I suppose it's all relative. "Worst in my lifetime" to me equates well enough with dumpster fire, though I realize I'd need something worse for the likes of LBJ.

Obama caused Trump. If you want to blame anyone, blame your god-in-chief for diving the country so bad that an orange reality star became president.

Good grief, I am so freakin' tired of this talking point....Do you even know how a President is elected in this country? I don't think you do judging from this post.

You voted for Trump, didn't you, when did class and professionalism ever matter to you?

Trump is Obama's legacy.

We have a wannabe dictator now. He's trying to rule by EO's and **** the other branches of government. We even have a real live Goebbels as an advisor to the president.

He is who America picked

To be fair, 25.6% of Americans of voting age voted for Trump, and he lost the popular election by three million votes, so to announce to the outside world that "America picked Trump" is doing all of our nation a disservice. You would do well when communicating on a public forum that non-Americans can see that Trump is a shame that does not in even the most remote way represent a majority of Americans. He represents a quarter of Americans, and that number will almost certainly go down as well meaning Trump voters continue to learn what kind of person he really is.

DEAL WITH IT

We are. We're protesting daily so that Trump can't convince himself that everybody agrees with him, since he has an extremely grave mental illness that causes him to believe whatever stats just appear in his head at any moment. We're also calling our House and Senate representatives hundreds of times a day to remind them where we stand, and finally we're organizing campaigns to turn our nearest red districts left in order to take back the House. It's an uphill battle to be sure, but we are dealing with it.

Just because we dropped the ball before in terms of participation doesn't mean we're incapable of learning the lesson. While the short term consequences will be fairly catastrophic, maybe Democrats needed a hard lesson in what happens when you take a laissez-faire attitude to political participation. And maybe Republicans, if their party hasn't already been completely redefined by nationalist right-wing populism for the next three generations, will learn what happens the next time they fan extremist sentiment in the pursuit of short term political gain.
