Right, this does not overturn the executive order, it just prevents people who would have been deported by it from having to leave the country.
It's only a first step, but a sure sign that people will fight against actions taken by our administration that go against American values.
As an aside, it looks like Trump's EO's are being written by Bannon, his senior advisor (yes, the same Bannon who's website praised neo-nazi Richard Spencer as a leading intellectual) so this might not be the first time this administrations executive orders are challenged in such a way.
Well, it's a democracy, so it is to be expected people will object to the order.
Unfortunately for those folks, it's a country of laws, and the law is on the presidents side. It will need to be fought in the political world, not the legal.
