Blame in on the previous administrations to having bogus immigration standards and policies. America has a right to be choosy on who we let into the country.... because we already are choosy and always have been, the America you recognized has always been a show and you bought it. You really want to let just anyone come in here???
We would have 1+ billion poor and starving people at our doorstep.

We can't let everyone in, because it's impossible if we want to still continue to help the world. Help the countries where these people are coming from, instead of just bringing the rich, lucky and connected few that manage to hitch a ride over here. America donates SIGNIFICANTLY more than any other country to the worlds poor and charity.

The blame game already?

Those so-called problems you mentioned? They are nothing new...

True, but why continue allowing people to come in without really knowing who they are? It makes sense to vet them to make sure American citizens are safe, doesn't it? They didn't let everyone in at Ellis Island either.

Was the America you reconized infiltrated by drug dealers, murderers and terrorists posing as immigrants? Why, yes it was. What is the difference now? Somebody is doing something about it.

No doubt the trains will run on time.

You know that's a thing. All this airport security and the trains have absolutely none, not even metal detectors...Plus you can bring basically anything you want on a train.

Yes. On of the many problems with the debate is the way the confused media uses 'migrant' and 'refugee' interchangeably. We've been through all this in Sweden and Germany. The great majority of those arriving are not seeking refuge but a better life.

The problem with 'vetting' is that migrants routinely lie about their real names, their dates of birth and, not least, their countries of origin. Sometimes sexuality also; as in "I had to escape from (insert name of Islamic hell hole) because I'm gay and faced imprissionment/execution".

Since when did the United States have to let everyone from around the world into our country?

They didn't let everyone in at Ellis Island either.

Actually they pretty much did. Since there were pretty much no laws on immigration at the time, and paper work was just as unverifiable as it is today. Have you read up on the history of that immigration station?

Indefinite blanket bans on refugees from certain countries.

Complete temporary ban on people from other countries, even if they're here legally (green card holders etc).

Is America great again, yet?

No means no.

Have you ever Heard of Ellis Island?

Yes, have you?

And the President has the authority to attempt to solve those problems by restricting immigration.

If anyone is to blame it is the United States itself.
