Trump Strategist Steve Bannon Says Media Should ‘Keep Its Mouth Shut’

Re: Steve Bannon: "Media should keep its mouth shut".

I think he's likely an extension of and/or compliment to some pathologies that already existed in Trump.

You may not have heard yet, but today InfoWars was granted a White House press pass.

InfoWars. Alex Jones. Let that sink in.

I haven't heard, and please tell me it's nothing but an ugly rumor. Because if it's true, I don't even know what to say other than things that would be censored.

Not that they were on friendly terms before, but it seems like he just painted a target on his backside, bent over and whistled.

I don't recall any such statement of this nature in any presidency in the first week.

The Liberal media already hates the Trump Administration. So what if President Trump's staff piss them off, more? The media has already drawn the line in the sand. They redefined that line with the MLK bust fakenews fiasco.

Re: Steve Bannon: "Media should keep its mouth shut".

The media has long largely been functioning as a wing of the D party.

There is no confusion on my end.

This is textbook deflection. Nice try.

The press are either a bunch of liars or just plain liberally biased, that's why they are so distrusted. Many of them just want to make a name for themselves by trying to get the best gotcha moment. People don't believe them anymore, so, what is their purpose?

Yeah, that's it. You run with that.

Are you denying that most people do not trust the media?

Define media? There are folks whom look to Fox as gospel but think CNN lies and vice versa. They may say they don't trust the media, but what they mean is they only trust sources if the media that reinforce their perspective.

Re: Steve Bannon: "Media should keep its mouth shut".

Bannon is a third rate thug with a fourth rate mind. Read Shirer's epic THE RISE AND FALL OF THE THRID REICH and you will see a whole clown car filled with types like that .

says some guy living in a dark basement posting 10k times a year to an audience of people that despise him :lamo

Re: Steve Bannon: "Media should keep its mouth shut".

I think it is great! It's about time someone came along and told the press to pack sand.

This admin is not made up of *****'s like Bush 41 & 43.

Screw the press, they are going to write what ever BS they want anyways no matter how congenial the white house staff is.

I suppose that in the minds of some the terrible betrayal of the electorate by that very media during this past election must be fading.

Lest we forget, this is the same media that was gushing over Hillary and couldn't find a good thing to say about Trump, in fact inventing and aggrandizing crap stories. The same media that had it's thumb so heavily on the electoral scales, they were leaking questions to campaign events to camp Hillary, and high fiving each other for each on camera slam on Trump they delivered. Honest media? Unbiased media? My ass.

"It's about time someone came along and told the press to pack sand."

Without a doubt.

The media has long largely been functioning as a wing of the D party.

There is no confusion on my end.

No, it hasn't. Please pay better attention.

It most certainly has. Where have you been?

Yet another of their betrayal of the truth and of the electorate.

They're only distrusted by fascist whackoes, like Trump and hs jackals so no problem.

Re: Trump Strategist Steve Bannon Says Media Should ‘Keep Its Mouth Shut’

The OP doesn't include the quote. I suspect that there is a reason for that. In order to include the full contest here is the full quote:
“The media should be embarrassed and humiliated and keep its mouth shut and just listen for a while,” Mr. Bannon said during a telephone call.

“I want you to quote this,” Mr. Bannon added. “The media here is the opposition party. They don’t understand this country. They still do not understand why Donald Trump is the president of the United States.”

Bannon is pretty much right. The media needs to stop being the news and start reporting the news. The recent tantrums by the media are pretty self evident that the media thinks a lot of themselves. They ranted because the new administration wanted to include more reporters in the Press Corp. After they got their way they complained that Spicer didn't call on AP to ask the first question. No wonder people don't trust the media. All that bitching and hollering about nothing. Bannon is correct that the media is more interested in telling us what they think than asking us what the news actually is. They (NYT, WaPo, NBC, ABC, CNN etc.) were all in for Clinton and she lost so we will have to put up with the tantrums until they start being ethical journalists and I don't see that happening.

****em.

LOL

It would seem the OP has been well trained by the MSM. Manipulating the truth has resulted in people having very little trust in the media.

Obviously, the OP ranks accordingly.

Re: Steve Bannon: "Media should keep its mouth shut".

All wings of the left are in melt-down....they are completely unprepared to deal with The Rebellion.

STILL

There is no REBELLION, yet. We shall see what the next few years bring.

There is no difference between the way the DNC (DoesNotComprehend) and the press in how they are refusing to comprehend what actually happened in this election. They both think that they just need to be louder to get their message across. People got the message and they didn't like it. Getting louder isn't going to change a thing.

It's rather interesting. If I recall, there was this moment of clarity right after the election when they admitted they didn't have a handle on what people thought and were concerned with.

I guess that cleared from their minds rather quickly.

Yeah, go figure. Their mea culpa was as fake as their intent.

Ahh yes. Another fine example of truthful media and how they (and others) pick and chose parts of quotes out of context in an attempt to make their case. Credibility of both rapidly sinking to zero, if it isn't already there.

Man, are you blind. There has been a uuuuuuge mistrust of the media before Trump even announced he was running for president.
