7 Greenpeace protesters unfurl 'Resist' banner atop crane near White House

WASHINGTON — Seven protesters from the environmental group Greenpeace climbed a 270-foot crane Wednesday at a construction site in downtown Washington and unfurled a "Resist" banner visible from the White House to demonstrate opposition to President Trump.
Greenpeace spokesman Travis Nichols said the huge yellow and orange banner with the word "Resist" is a continuation of protests that started with Trump's inauguration last week
Got to give them an A for effort.

Hey, it's free speech. What can one say?

Resist what, exactly?

Trespassing onto private property is not free speech.

I'm not sure the crane was theirs.
Hey - you guys are probably right in that, and they should face consequence.

But I'm a huge supporter of the 1A, and also fine with a little non-violent well-intentioned orderly & organized civil disobedience.

So next time, I suggest they find a government crane! :2razz:

Reality.

The reality of their lack of institutional power for what looks to be a whole generation, the reality that their virtue signaling isn't virtuous, the reality that the violent ones are on their side, that they don't actually care about real racism but would rather cry wolf at perceived microaggressions, that they don't care about women's rights if she is conservative, that they are truly intolerant of anyone whose sole value isn't in their victimhood.

Reality is a bitch for a leftist these days.

Here we go, another low effort post, without an argument, just a baseless non-sequitur accusation.

Obsessed am I? When was the last time I even used the term? Oh I get it, you've got no counter argument so you're resorting to misrepresentations and name calling. Could have guessed you were a progressive without even looking.

Next you'll cry wolf and call me a racist I'm sure.

Resist what? The temptation to cheat on your spouse? The bag of Reese's Pieces your kid brought home? Gravity?

I've been resisting having to go to watch a local production of "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat" for a while now but apparently, SOMEONE just got tickets. Fecking hell.

And yes, I just got smacked in the back of the head.

Wow... what a victimhood culture you have going for yourself there. All under attack by that straw man you just built.

A projection as well? Par for the course eh?

You don't have the debating skills to render me a victim, insults and non-arguments don't work on me.

I'm sorry, is this where you expect me to call you a racist? Let me know when... I don't want to miss my que you have written for me and disappoint.

Sincerely,
Evil Leftist

I'm with Chomsky on this one, in this day and age defiance is almost vital I'd wager.
