ANYBODY upset about facebook not up yet or whatever that got mad at those Republicans criticising Obamacares website failures needs to seriously SHUT THE **** UP.

I have been trying to say "Thanks Trump!" sarcastically for every little thing. But there aren't enough syllables. It doesn't roll off the tongue the way "Thanks Obama!" does.

To me it is just another sign of not being ready. Obama staffed it. He was done as pres. his staff left. Not surprising. Also I'm not sure it would be high on an incoming president's list of to do. But previous presidents had their cabinet and staff vetted and ready for hearings. This president is still playing media wars and the committees have their hands tied. Trump is disrupting the whole process by his complete ignorance of what he needs to have done. So the next pres who has a comment line shut down for a few weeks might face some scrutiny, but America is worried this guy is unprepared and ignorant. It might behoove him to have something done on time.

Its a big government. I'm thinking Obama started the line, maybe Bush used it, but it is relatively new in politics. How old are politicians? I don't really fault this per se. I really don't fault Hillary for email stuff. If I want to know about computers I ask a 20 year old, not a 60 year old. But it is a part of the job. I don't think this is headline news unless an incoming pres gets everything else right. We need something to complain about. But when there is literally grievance after grievance, anything is fair game.

It was in my roladex, (how do you spell that?) and in my first few cell phones. Not in this one. Need to get it back as I have no intention of ever, ever logging into facebook or twitter for any reason.

Computers have been around for 30 years so the 60 year old would be using them at 30 years old.

Ehh. I'm 35... I'm 36 now. Grumble. I was a holdout. I never had a computer growing up. I was probably 21 or so before I saw the internet. I got a cell phone about 2004. I got a smart phone about 2011. Computers have been around since the 50s or so. My argument is that there is one new group to America that assumes computers were always involved in life. Go to any Texas DPS and you will see computers from when I was a kid. Look at the printers at O'Reily's Auto Parts. They still use a scrolling dot matrix printer. Even if the tech is older, its full use and implementation into ALL of life isn't so quick.

Going with your statement, computers are 30 years old. I should have been using them at five. Grumble, six. I didn't. And I think the numbers of people who used them less than me increase as you look to my elders and decrease as you look to my youngers. I know 6 year olds who know more about computers than people of my age group and higher.

The whole White House staff was replaced. I have to add that this does not include the cooks, maintenance and so forth because some smart ass will go there.

The White House has shut down its public comment line and switchboard, instead telling callers, with an automated message, that they should contact the new administration via Facebook Messenger instead. There's only one problem: Neither the White House nor President Donald Trump seem to currently maintain an active Facebook Messenger account.

The White House had long kept a public comment line, which in recent years had been staffed by volunteers of the Obama administration. In addition, it also offered a number to reach the White House switchboard, where paid staffers would pick up the phone and take messages for the administration.​
