Officials said Monday that the Obama administration-- in its waning hours-- defied Republican opposition and quietly released $221 million to the Palestinian Authority that GOP members of Congress had been blocking.

A State Department official and several congressional aides told The Associated Press that the outgoing administration formally notified Congress it would spend the money Friday morning.

The official said former Secretary of State John Kerry had informed some lawmakers of the move shortly before he left the State Department for the last time Thursday.

Hmm... any thoughts?

Let's forget about Obama for now. He's done. Trump is now our problem. And he seems to be turning out as badly as feared. Some of the stuff is really bad.

The Arab Palestinian Authority who is receiving the $221 million spends $140 million a year funding suicide bombers to kill Israelis

But, it wasn't like it wasn't approved by congress. Reading the information, it sounds to me like a couple of partisans were blocking the will/approval of congress and Obama pulled rank on them.

Since 90% went to other things that actually help the Palestinian people, no, it wasn't. I do not agree with how the Palestinians, in general conduct things, but I also do not want to see them starve and die because their leaders do stupid things with a small portion of the money that they receive.

So cannot we just all agree on one simple point? That Obama and Kerry were foolish and naive to give US taxpayers' money, year after year, to those who used some/most of it to engage in terrorist acts? And, maybe, that the murder of civilians is not a "stupid thing" but an evil thing?
