WASHINGTON — Young immigrants currently protected from deportation will be quickly removed from the country by President Donald Trump’s plan to boost deportations, even if the new president doesn’t target them directly, a former senior immigration official in the Obama administration said.

Democratic leaders and advocates in the immigration community are bracing for Trump to eliminate several of Obama’s executive actions on immigration, including the deferred action program, known as DACA... an estimated 750,000 immigrants brought to the U.S. illegally as children. Trump was expected to act Monday.

?Dreamers? likely to be deported - News - The Courier-Tribune - Asheboro, NC

In the first paragraph they fail to call these folks what they are. They are not "immigrants", they are Illegal Immigrants.

They should be called Illegal Invaders, thereby killing the tie to the abused term "immigrant".

this is going to be a nightmare situation

people who have been here for generations will be up for deportation

I think your streets will run with blood just like in the 60s

wishful and hateful thinking there

Deporting criminals.

Those who came here in The Obama Illegal Invader Tsunami should be sent back. They gave info in many cases, and they should be on their way back to where they came from.

President Trump will have to work hard to live up to president Obama's level of deportations.

From the ABC news link;

How many people have been deported under Obama?

President Barack Obama has often been referred to by immigration groups as the "Deporter in Chief."

Between 2009 and 2015 his administration has removed more than 2.5 million people through immigration orders, which doesn’t include the number of people who "self-deported" or were turned away and/or returned to their home country at the border by U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP).

How does he compare to other presidents?

According to governmental data, the Obama administration has deported more people than any other president's administration in history.

In fact, they have deported more than the sum of all the presidents of the 20th century.

what a bizarre comment but okay, not a big surprise...depth isn't your thing

insightful commentary is my thing. especially when disposing of inciting commentary

A generation is about 30 years. Reagan amnesty happened about 30 years ago. These illegals have not been here for generations.

Stats released Monday by Sen. Jeff Sessions, R-Ala., show it’s all a charade.

The data, which Sessions gathered from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, shows deportations have decreased precipitously under the Obama administration – especially deportations of illegals from the interior of the United States.

Deportations plummet 43% under Obama

How long were the illegals here before Reagan granted them amnesty?

You are aware that Bush-41 and Bush-43 benefited from this amnesty ..

Those people are no longer illegals. So they are irrelevant to the discussion of deporting illegals.

Both Bush's kissed the asses of illegal alien lobby, so I am sure they benefited from Reagan amnesty.

Oh please spare us the hyperbolic rhetoric. Can you give me a good reason as to why some should be allowed to jump ahead in the line? Are we to have no rule of law whatsoever?

Does Canada allow rampant illegal immigration? Or even legal immigration, for that matter.

Of course they're relevant in today's electorate along with the optics of losing all that vote.
Both Bush's kissed the asses of illegal alien lobby, so I am sure they benefited from Reagan amnesty.
Which only proves that today's GOPrussians aren't serious about solving any problems.
They also haven't forgotten how Cantor lost his primary.
Elections have consequences when you become the ruling triumvirate

The borders were supposed to be secured after amnesty in 86, and after the 1965 Immigration Act.

Americans are not benefiting from the tsunami of illegal invaders.

It's time to build The Beautiful Wall, control our borders and deport illegal invaders.

Of course they're relevant in today's electorate along with the optics of losing all that vote.

Hispanics generally vote for democrats. So all the illegal alien ass kissing won't do any good.Plus not every Hispanic who is a citizen supports amnesty.Nor is every Hispanic who is a citizen got their citizenship though amnesty.

Kissing illegal alien ass might work for democRats(see I can changes words to), it doesn't work for republicans.

It's always the Demokrat's fault.
Even going forward when they're not in power.
Let's see what kind of balls the republikans have .

Oh I see. So president Obama didn't send a lot illegal immigrants home? Is that a good thing?

No... it's not.

If you've been paying attention, Obama's been letting a tsunami of illegal invaders enter the country.

Full of info debunking the myth.

Yea someone else pointed that out to me already. I'm not going to dive into the details to see which stories are true as it doesn't matter to what Trump is going to do.

My mom is a Ukrainian immigrant (legally) and so my feelings on the issue are mixed. I like that this nation is a land of immigrants. I don't like people disobeying our laws and just walking into our country illegally and then expecting us to cater to them. For example, having to have government signs in two languages. My mom learned English as an adult so they can to.

It sure helped Rubio in Florida, who helped drag trump's worthless ass over the finish line there.

You will not hold Republikans to the same standard as you have Democrats .

:bs The only reason deportation figures seem higher under O'Bama, is due to bull**** counting. High deportation figures are misleading - LA Times

I'd like to see a source for that last bit of fantasy you're claiming.
