The moment Donald Trump swears the oath of office and lifts his hand from the Bible as the 45th president of the United States on Friday, the clock begins on his first 100 days.

And within hours, the man who campaigned as an outsider vowing to shake up Washington will have his chance to start rolling back his predecessor's legacy while forging his own.

Trump takes charge: 45th president vowing 'robust' first 100 days | Fox News

Finally! Hoping Trump will get the repairs started, but, at the very least, Obama is OUT at noon today!

Yep, he has also stated that creating TrumpCare (replacing PPACA) will be his first legislative priority. Long gone are any republicant arguments over whether regulating "private" medical care insurance is a constitutional federal power. The "anti-regulation" and "small government" guy will foist many new federal regulations upon we the sheeple.

I fully expect that TrumpCare will not start (actually go into effect) until after the 2018 elections mostly because it must move at the speed of congress critters and that huge federal programs take time (and money) to implement. It appears that the good parts of PPACA now include federal control of "private" medical care insurance and drug/medical procedure price "negotiation" - which was once said to be the worst part of PPACA.

Republicans had 6 years to come up with a plan. How much longer do they need?

About two years for the veto-proof majority sounds good.

I didn't vote for this guy in the primary, but I certainly hope he takes a business-like approach to trimming down this monstrous government and undoing the executive-order nonsense of Obama.

I don't have to watch him bumble through speeches to appreciate the proof in the pudding, if he can deliver it.

Obama used someone else's. Probably takes longer than a few days to put together.

6 years... 6 years... what were they doing all of this time?

Oh please....It wasn't up to Republican's to make demo's steaming pile of **** work...demo's will forever own what they did to the people with this failed plan.

Price negotiation was explicitly forbidden in the lobbyist written Medicare-D unfunded mandate the Republicans passed. Here we go again with the right wing borrow and spend binge? Last time there were also huge tax cuts along with wars that were funded by emergency supplementals so as to hide the effects on the deficit. Very "conservative". I want Trump to tweet a new definition for that word. Reagan is officially buried now. Goldwater is barfing in his grave.

The initial republicant plan was simple - repeal PPACA returning control to the several states. Once states (actually the providers and subsidized patients within them) got used to getting more "free" federal money that repeal PPACA plan lost its glow. Now we have republicants scrambling to come up with a way for the states to get even more federal "free" money but in such a way as to make it appear to be otherwise.

Nobody asked the GOP to make ObamaCare work. What I'm stating is that they had 6 years to come up with a replacement.

Where is it?

Can he take the oath of office before you announce the death of conservatism? Trump is NOT a conservative, we all know that, and should the repubs make the mistake of their past in spending like liberals, their advantage will be short.

I know, trust me. I know.

Democrats called Republicans the party of no ideas for a reason.

After 6 years, they still don't have anything to replace ObamaCare.

So you know, they'll work on it for ... another couple of years.

On its way buddy...Not to worry, repubs are on the way to save America.....

TrumpCare doesn't quite have the same ring to it

TrumpCare doesn't quite have the same ring to it

Coming to the realization that not long after this is done today, Obama really will have NOTHING to look back on as accomplishments because he did so much going around Congress unconstitutionally....He will go down as the 'Do Nothing President" but hey, he'd be cool to have a beer with.

Trump swears on the bible:mrgreen: This is a man who has "Never asked for foregiveness for anything in his life". Sorry, but hands on the bible mean nothing to this man.

Liberals show such class.

The basic problem is that insurance premium rates should be tied to actuarial risk factors to be "fair". But the vast majority want none of that "pre-existing condition" (actuarial risk factor) stuff to be used - they claim that (only?) your income and age should determine how much your "fair share" of medical care costs is.

TrumpCare doesn't quite have the same ring to it

TrumpCare is "private" medical care insurance that is low cost, covers everyone and is really terrific - the only problem is that it does not exist in the form of a bill. ;)

Maybe he'll announce it in his speech today after he takes the oath....;)

Okay.

Got it.

I doubt that very much - perhaps we will have to pass it first in order to see what is in it. ;)

Point taken. I would like to see a set of honest conservatives and honest liberals work together for the betterment of the country, but I've been waiting for that all my life. Both ideologies are flawed and work best when they temper each other.
