Trump team prepares dramatic cuts

Could be

One consequence of dealing with the rabid anti trumpsters too long is that does wear on the temper

I wished I can say, "I understand.", but fortunately I don't bear that burden. My conscience is clean. I wrote in Homer Simpson.

Enlighten me

Like conservatives rightly complained about Obama being weak-kneed with the Defense budget and upholding the cause of liberty throughout the world, and thus, the US's capability and it's overall policy orientation,if you hack and slash away at the DOJ & OCR budget and appoint people who have a reputation and public statements who are antagonistic toward upholding federal law with minorities (Sessions, DeVos for instance), you're getting very clear signals that his administration isn't all that interested in upholding federal law for minorities. I'm just awaiting to see who is plugged into some staffing positions underneath Price, and whether or not this is going to continue into SAMHSA.

Then you are not entitled to complain about anything trump does or says

If Trump can get congress critters to do that then he just may get them to spend more wisely in other areas. The problem, as I see it, is that Trump wishes to cut federal tax revenue by more than that and to add more federal spending in other areas.

Historically, tax cuts have often resulted in increased revenues. Have you bought into the left wing rhetoric?

By minorities are you primarily concerned about blacks, illegal aliens from Mexico or muslims?

The persons you mentioned are not pro minority if that is what you expect.

But the are not anti minority either

Blacks, LGBTQ, Asains, Native Americans, people with disabilities, etc etc.

It's not about being pro-minority. It's about upholding existing case law and federal law established for decades. Christ, I'm not talking about embracing some sort of Elijah Muhammad Afro-centric racism here or anything. Just basic decency and established legal guidelines.

But the are not anti minority either

Oh yeah, I really felt that from Sessions when he said that people like me were "irritating" and single handedly responsible for "the decline of civility and discipline" of the schools for merely being allowed in the school system.

Again, you seem to be projecting hysterical fears about trump that I don't see.

But you are so vague that I don;t have enough information to reply to

finally something specific

Do you have a quote to link to?

It's not hysteria. I unfortunatey cannot go into detail, because events are still unfolding and have yet to come out. But yeah, we're looking*very closely* at these appointments and the consequences of the budgets. If you need a quote, I'm not going to bother.

Great freaking news

We have a bloated government....

Nothing wrong with shearing the sheep as they say

Every department...I don't care if he starts with 3-5 % cuts....it is music to my ears
I totally agree. The less government the better. I would be happy if the cuts go deeper than 5% even.

The problem is who's definition of "wisely" shall we use?

The left's desire for more spending in education, infrastructure, social programs or the right's desire to spend more money on the defense industry and corporate hand-out's?

Whatever is wiser, we can all rest assured we will get a dime's return for every dollar spent.

OK so its just a generalized fear of trumpism

maybe you will recover in time

I wonder how many widows and orphans will be dying in the streets according to Democrats.

Mmmmm..............all of them.

No, political, regulatory, and potentially legal solutions are still in the works and have been for the last several years, and they are interacting with several layers of government at the moment. I was hoping the Trump statement toward entitlements may influence funding decisions. That "dying in the streets" line was a silver lining but several months ago. It's not looking good at the moment.

I am just hoping they are actual cuts, not just cuts in the increase in spending.

Such illogical thinking. Just arbitrarily demand all departments cut. No matter what they do or job they perform or what the demand is for their services... just cut them because numbers are pretty.
Good evening.... well my opinion is better to cut now while the numbers are " pretty " some day there will be a forced day of reckoning if the current spending trends continue. ( both sides guilty) the laws of economics will not denied. Cheers

Dazzle them with doubletalk

Historically, the national debt has grown - more so since Reagan.

Sure I can. And will. But I predict that it will be YOU and many other Trump supporters who will complain the most. I hope you heavily invested in KY Jelly stock. :boohoo:
