What difference does it make to the union leadership if the factory employs 5000 or 500 people? Even if a factory gets closed they get golden parachutes and then go work for the DNC. It literally doesn't matter to them.

But as their jobs depend on having union members working, working to send those jobs out of the US is counter productive to their own well being.

Major companies have always got many contingency plans depending on the outcome of elections. Had Hillary won they would have gone with the Mexico plant. Since we elected a true leader who will support keeping industry here they will go with the plan to keep industry here. Nothing tricky about this.

The sad truth is many union leaders are not blue collar but white collar people and by the amount of money they make are more like the board of directors than the workers they represent.

Obama has a pen and a phone but the only thing he uses it for is to grant illegal immigrants amnesty. Meanwhile Trump is going to use his pen and his phone to make America great again. Trump's tweets have done more to bring jobs into this country than everything Obama used at his disposal for the past 8 years. And Trump's not even president yet.

As the workers lost jobs to cheaper locations, yes they did.

Because the people in the cheaper locations did not want to lose their jobs by trying to unionize with the goal of better overall compensation

I don't have personal knowledge but the word is that the transplants treat their American workers very well
