Trump's team considers moving White House press room

Wait he wants more media attention than he already gets??? Maybe he wants Press Conferences to be like rallies. Anyway, this is going to backfire bigly!

He wants to tell those who call themselves journalists that they are no longer relevant, because they for too long refused to do their jobs.

JUSTICE MATTERS!

Don't know how it could backfire since most of the press has already determined the themes that they will report and the guy hasn't taken office yet. And the press tends to be sycophants anyway.

Exactly

The liberal mainstream press hates trump already.

making them sit at the back of the room during press conferences cannot make them more angry

Trumps new press room, the Kremlin.

He should put a podium in a swamp and hold them there.

At this point, I don't think that Trump provoking or not provoking is going to make too much of a difference. Seems pretty clear how the press is going to treat Trump, and indeed, how they treat most any non-Democrat president.

Ya but you know what....under my code I need to do what I can to promote others doing the right thing....it is that socialism thing...so, you know....

It won't make any difference except more diversity in the press corp. The public will either approve or not give a damn. The public doesn't have a high regard for the press and could care less. I would guess that your response here would be that the press will have bad things to say about him and ruin him. It hasn't worked yet. There will be no change. The press will continue to fry him, like they have tried to do for the past last months and it won't work, just like it hasn't for the past few months.

I think he should have them outside, no matter the weather. Trump would be in a protected, heated area (or A/C), the press can be out in the elements. That would be fun.

The could watch him on a flat screen, maybe use Skype.

Or none of them show up at all now that would be hilarious, trump would have a melt down, again.

He could use it a reason to shut it down and stop having them. That would be fun to watch.

Works for me, shut down his Twitter account and trump would have a nervous breakdown, and no one would notice.

I thought we could have an intelligent conversation and you go post **** like that. I do enjoy watching the left and the press **** themselves when he uses his twitter.

I hope it isn't he same joke. I like a good laugh but that material is getting old. I like originality. The "Trump uses twitter" is getting old and has lost traction with the public, which I think is a good thing. I guess it takes some thought to talk about actual issues. It's easier to repeat "Trump uses twitter" over and over an over and over. Like I said, it's fun watching the left and the press **** themselves over Trump and his twitter but that is going to get boring sooner or later.

And I find his use of Twitter to be hilarious, it is like watching a 5 year old having a tantrum and his parents having zero ability to control him. Yes, I know some of his supporters want to believe that people do not care, it is why they try and make it out to be nothing at all, plus every time he Twits they have come up with more excuses for his behavior.

A CNN representative is officially on record as stating that if you want the news you should check twitter.

There ya go. News unfiltered, uncontrolled and unmolested by the press. There is a hidden agenda here that will make the press freak when the changes are put in place. It will make the press conferences more transparent.

Yeah, the President getting involved in a name-calling spat with a hollywood actress on twitter is sooo presidential.

The President slagging of Boeing on twitter, causing it to lose billions in share value is sooo presidential.

I don't like Streep. Nobody that voted for him cares.

The president of Boeing didn't lose billions. The value of the stock dropped for a day. Please keep complaining however. The constant meaningless of the whining wears on the public and they don't want to hear it.

Meh, just chalking this up to something I don't really care about.

Trump's team considers moving White House press room | Reuters

I say that this would be an unnecessary provocation which would likely backfire.

What say You?

The briefing room is too small to accommodate more than 49 reporters. Most of these guys are "old" media who love having a virtual monopoly on asking questions, so naturally they prefer the status quo. We've seen media evolve to include more non-traditional outlets, and I think what Trump is trying to do is get more accredited correspondents into the briefings. I see nothing wrong with that.
