Donald Trump Names Son-in-Law Jared Kushner as Senior Adviser

Jared Kushner, the guy who's been a Democrat for his entire adult life, who donated dozens of thousands of dollars to Democratic candidates, who counts uber-Liberal Cory Booker as one of his closest friends. Yup, sounds about right.

Isn't politics fun?!?!?!?!

It's been announced that nobody who is a Trump appointee needs to be vetted, according to Sen. McConnell. It's a waste of time.

So who is Kushner that makes him worthy of advising an office holder that was once the most powerful on the planet? Maybe a White House maintenance person can sit in and give Trump a few tips on how to clean up the Middle East?

Maybe competence, capable of understanding complex issues, having some field of expertise that is relevant to responsibilities of the POTUS doesn't matter anymore?

Besides, why would Trump need any advisors when he has Putin to guide him through his term?

As I stated somewhere else the most important qualification in an advisor is that the advisee trust their opinion.

This was always the plan by the looks of it, but there was some doubt about the vetting, which must have cleared.

Great choice.

My Israeli family went wild at this news. Take that for what you will.

Here, let me help you:

What positions has Mr. Kushner held that allow him to be a top adviser to a president?

Don't worry, I'll wait to hear about your VAST knowledge on a guy who you hadn't heard of a few months ago.

What are the qualifications for "advisor"?

I'm disappointed in this pick if only because I wanted him for Supreme Court.

Why do you see this totally unqualified guy as good for the Supreme Court?

Fill us in.

Do lifelong Democrats tend to crush their fellow pathetic, whiny, snowflakey, mean spirited fellow Democrats?

Is that the job of an advisor?

If Trump appoints Al Gore to the Supreme court then we can talk, but until then this faux outrage is tiresome.

Unlike conservatives (it would appear), the left doesn't judge everyone by looks. How you guys decided that orange looked good is beyond me.

The party of skin color politics judges EVERYONE by looks.

I don't understand your question. I think you should ask the person who applauded the pick of Kushner for those reasons that I mentioned. Those were his words, not mine.

Not sure what Al Gore has to do with this. Kushner is a lifelong and very vocal Democrat. Even Mayor DeBlasio is out there saying what a great pick this is. Some of the true Republican voters who knew that Trump wasn't a Republican (even though he convinced his supporters that he was) are a little concerned about him relying on the advise of someone whose core values and beliefs are nothing that we support. This is faux outrage to you because you were a committed Trump supporter.

To be honest, it's totally unsurprising how the rabid Trump supporters are completely ignoring the reality of who Kushner is. Is he smart? Probably. Is he successful? Yes, like Trump he parlayed his inherited millions into even more. Is he a conservative? No. Is he a Democrat? Yes. Am I thrilled to see a "Republican" President relying on the advise of a man who even a lunatic leftist like Bill DeBlasio thinks is swell? No. Nothing faux about it.

I'm quite curious myself how a man who was raised by a billionaire real estate developer in NY city and who himself is a real estate developer who dabbled into media purchases is qualified to sit on SCOTUS and interpret the Constitution. Think you'll get an answer?

How clever of Trump to reach across the aisle and choose someone like Kushner. The everyone has a voice in the Trump administration, even lifelong Democrats. This must outrage blind partisans like yourself that Trump is looking to help everyone and listen to everyone.

I love your posts. They're better than online joke generators.

Jared Kushner has a Juris Doctor (and MBA) from New York University after Graduating Summa Cum Laude from Harvard and worked at several law firms.

That's pretty embarrassing for both of you to pooh pooh Jared Kushner on things you know nothing about.

Hey, sounds like Hillary Clinton could be Trump's SCOTUS pick. She also worked in a law firm. Or Obama for that matter. Thanks for reminding us that the only qualifications are degrees from Ivy League schools and a few years in a law firm.

The notion that Jared Kushner is unqualified is a completely disgusting anti-semitic comment that's typical from from partisans. It dismisses he experience, his education, and his work.

Kushner's qualified because he's Jewish?

So I guess Trump will consider Eric Cantor for the SCOTUS opening. He has an MS in Real Estate Development from Columbia on top of his JD from William & Mary. I'd support that pick.

I'll be mighty surprised if I get a good answer.

Well, here's what I have been able to find out. He thinks he's a great pick because of his Ivy League degrees, and his stint in law firms (while taking a break from Dad's multi billion dollar real estate developments), and if you don't share his adoration for Kushner, it's because you're an anti-Semite.

Trumpland is like Disney World without the long lines.

You go ahead and believe whatever you want to believe.

Kushner doesn't have the background and experience to be a Supreme Court Justice.

The fact that you think that he does tells us a lot about you.
