Donald Trump Names Son-in-Law Jared Kushner as Senior Adviser

Sotomayor claims she got help through affirmative action.

Does that matter? It's not like she just squeaked by - she graduated with high honors. If I were a fan of affirmative action I'd say it seems to have worked in her case.

Someone bitched about Trump making a financial contribution to a college his son went too.

Ah. BFD. People give money to their alma maters and their kid's schools all the time. Only difference is rich people give a lot more. And the really rich get buildings with their names on them.

Did the kid at least do well? I expect so. The Trump kids strike me as very smart and very capable.

Ah, all aspects of 'advice' are apparently equal for you?

For those of us who are not partisan, we may be interested to receive advice on a specific topic from someone who is qualified to understand that specific topic.

You mistakenly include yourself in this group because this position is Presidential advisor. Only 1 person gets decide the advisors qualifications and it isn't you nor is it me. There are 2.2 million employees who work for the President with whom he can receive information, but a Presidential advisor gives him advice about the 2.2 million who are giving their advice.

So save your energy for lobbying the Senate (the only ones the President is required to listen to) to oppose all the other appointments, which I'm sure you do.

Ask any liberal, he would have never gotten in had it not been for the bribe.....uh er donation. ;)

Well you might want to ask yourself why you're "sure" that i oppose all appointments without really having a reason to believe that.

Trump probably has figured out that the left will be outraged no matter what he does or who he picks, so he might as well do what he wants.

Amen to that. He has done what he can reasonably do to remove himself from any management or direct financial interest in his businesses but he was not willing to destroy his own legacy that his family is inheriting. But he could sell everything and take down the Trump brand entirely--a move that would violate a whole bunch of contractual agreements and gender countless lawsuits--and the Trump haters will still accuse him of using his office for financial gain just as they continued to associate Cheney with Halliburton although he had divested himself of all interests in that company when he was VP.

So we'll hear the cacophony of accusations if Trump industries profit in any way during his term of office even though his intent is to generate an economy in which everybody can profit. He'll get no credit for a robust economy of course.

I typically find that those who are quick to accuse others of being partisan, as you did to me, tend to be partisans themselves, but interesting you should focus on that part of my reply. Sorry I touched a nerve.

I don't care who gets any of these positions. If it isn't the President-Elect's first choice, then he will just pick someone else. To complain about an advisor, to me, is a strong indicator of partisanship.

Feel feel to dispute anything you disagree with, which I'm sure you will do.

No apology necessary, i am happy to see others embarrass themselves with bad assumptions.

Perhaps you should ask yourself why you believe advisors should never be criticized.

If only you were embarrassed about making a bad assumption about me.

Perhaps you can ask me a question instead of hoping that I would ask my self something stupid you thought up and doesn't apply to anything I said.

What assumption? You said it right here:

...To complain about an advisor, to me, is a strong indicator of partisanship...

You are claiming that it requires partisanship to complain about an advisor. It doesn't.

I made no such claim and your quote of me doesn't say that. For such a cunning linguist as yourself, you should be able to see that.

Have any other questions you would like to ask?
