Trump battles Meryl Streep with tweets as Cabinet picks prepare for grilling

The fact that his retard impression was already well established does not change the fact that he imitated the reporter.

Trump says "You've got to see this guy," does an impression in the reporters voice, and you claim that he did not imitate the reporter...?

How the **** can you make such a dishonest claim?

So who is he imitating the other two times with the same mannerisms?

Have you seen the reporter in question? I have seen videos of him and he has none of the mannerisms that Trump used to mock him. Trump mocked him for his backpedalling on his own news report after 911.

I agree that Trump did mock that reporter. What I vehemently disagree with is the reason he mocked this reporter.
point is, he shouldnt have mocked him period, end of story...that is not behavior that should be condoned, or be the behavior of a man who wanted to be president.

Why not? Trump mocked Republicans using the very same mannerisms. Why didn't the MSM, Streep or you complain then? Your outrage is therefore political, and nothing else.

seriously, why not is your response?

Yes, of course that is my response. So Trump mocked a reporter what's the problem?
wow...this country used to be semi civilized when it came to dealing with each other....your comment, and those that don't see the problem, are the problem.

I was a college student during Watergate and we were not semi civilized then either.
trump will easily surpass Nixon and Harding with his conflicts.
The GOP congress will not begin to take trump problems seriously until the 2018 elections get closer--674 days .

they will leave him alone until he ceases to be useful....

LOL! I have watched politics for some time now, about 55 years, but I rarely have seen a Democrat/Liberal be civil to anyone that did not agree with them. Oh, yes, I started out as a Democrat, but the antics of the Democrats, especially about how they treated their opponents drove me from their ranks. I remember the day I had enough. I was at a Democrat rally for some local elections and the speaker was getting cheers and laughter for his insulting comments on the physical looks of the opponent's wife and daughter. I refused to laugh or applaud. That was my last day as a Democrat.

The people he was making fun of.

Using the same mannerisms. Therefore he was not mocking the disability, just the stupidity of the reporters actions. The outrage is fake political theatre.

I didn't say he was mocking the disability. I said that Meryl Streep was correct when she stated that he imitated the reporter. He was doing an impression of the reporter.

Nope. Demonstrated to be false by him showing the same mannerisms with 2 other people.

Looks to me like you are mocking Trump.

Simply posting the evidence that you all conveniently want to pretend that you don't see. Sorry. I suspect that you will still deny.....plug your ears...close your eyes....lalalalalalalalalalalalalalalalalalal

I don't deny anything at all. The left has mocked Trump relentlessly for the last several months, even calling him mentally unstable, which is a disability. So, by the left's own definition, they are relentlessly and continually mocking a person that they themselves call disabled.

I'm suggesting that you are again, wrong. The incident she is talking about is mirrored in the way he discussed 2 other people that are NOT disabled. Streep's indictment of Trump is based on a fraudulent media framing of the story without all three incidents being shown to provide context.

Second, she is accepting an award for acting, and leveraging that into political speech instead of simply, humbly accepting the award and the accolades of her peers. She is not a political figure, if she wants to join the political arena she is welcome to do so. But to use a lifetime award you get one of for this purpose, cheapens the award and her.

Third, her opinion doesn't hold much value, she is an actress. She is used to being the most important person in the room and dictating what others think. She doesn't care a whit for flyover country, she doesn't care about Republicans, this is all theatre to hurl sound bites to the press and further the liberal agenda. It has no moral rectitude to it.

I am a big fan of the actress Meryl Streep, for as long as she has been acting.

Unfortunately, her rant against Trump--all valid and relevant points--leave her looking very much the hypocrite. Her effort to claim the moral high ground sounded good that night, but in the big picture her failure to condemn Barack for his many moral transgressions and crimes makes her out to be rather two-faced. Maybe I missed it, but I don't recall hearing Meryl condemn Obama for his drone use around the world. I don't recall her using the bully pulpit of the Oscars or any other such venue to condemn Barack for his numerous inhumane actions.

But I love her as an actress!

He was imitating the reporter. He said "you should see this guy" and then did an impression.

Cry me a river. There's a limit to how upset one should get over this. Trump's a no-nonsense blunt-talking guy, and if in a moment of irritation, he put down the disabled guy - then he put down the disabled guy. Move on - get over your butt hurt.

If the disabled guy wants to make a martyr out of himself, and wear his victimhood on his sleeve, then so be it. If he needs the whole world to stop and pat him on the back, then fine. Does he need to be tucked in at night, too? He's a big boy, he can get over it. Hope he's not taking the NYC subway to work, just in case anyone cuts him off, he may need to take a moment to have a cry.

Meanwhile, other people have lives to live too.

I'm arguing that Trump imitated the reporter. That was the situation Meryl Streep described and it was an accurate description of the recorded video.

Now, if that simple argument led you to the incoherent diatribe and incessant whining quoted above, perhaps you should follow your own advice and "get over your butt hurt."

In which he exhibited the same mannerisms he did imitating 2 other people.

So he likes to imitate people, to mock and demean them with his impressions. And he did it to this reporter, as well as two other people. It sounds like you agree with what Meryl Streep described.

Why would Streep be more upset about it than the guy that was supposedly imitated?
