Obama Building a Wall Around his New DC House

A wall at the border isn't making anyone's life any more safe and no one's stopping you from putting a fence around your house.

Stupid thread with no point. 0 stars.

If walls do nothing then why is he putting one up around his house?

And that differs from the wackos that shot a 6 year old in D.C. here? https://www.washingtonpost.com/loca...fe509430c39_story.html?utm_term=.5e34cdb2a3b8

Oh, this is one of those deals like terrorism right? Where they tell us to live with it, while not risking their own lives. Gotcha.

The Obamas are giving into fear, they're letting the terrorists win! Boohoos.

You have no sense of equivalence. I think the truth is out of your budget.

Moreover, why are you so obsessed with the Obama's? They are now history.

He wants to keep the Mexicans out.

How do we solve this issue then?

Simple, arrest those that hire illegals, cut off all aid other than health emergencies, the majority would go home on their own. Far cheaper and in fact the employers arrested would be paying part of the bill and we save a ton of money cutting the programs.
Not rocket science, but it seems no one wants to try the easy route.

Since we have no idea how many illegals are actually here, I doubt that we could determine how many are employed here, and do something about it. The process of finding 10-30 million people and where they work would take years.

I like your idea about cutting program spending. Until recently, those on the pro-illegal immigration side wouldn't even admit that illegals receive welfare, SS, etc. Now they mostly dodge the issue.

IMO, we should concentrate on deporting those undocumented immigrants who are in US prisons. They account for a huge number of those in California state prisons currently, and are the largest ethnic group in some prisons.

Next we should deport illegals whose sole source of income comes from US programs.

And yes, we need to build the wall and station military personnel on the border, otherwise most of those we deport will just sneak back in. It's harder to get into a movie theater without a ticket than it is to illegally enter the country.

But Obama was the Hope and Change president? The one who was supposed to be sooo different than all the old white dudes that came before him, remember? That's why many of you voted for him. Are you saying that once he was elected, he didn't live up to his public persona and campaign pledges?

I have no idea why others voted for him. He's a politician. Anyone who thought he was not a politician was being naive. I can't remember any President living up to their pre-election hype. Trump won't either.

I say let all living presidents live in the same **** stew they helped created, with no special treatment. Then we'll see them get off their ass and really work at solving crime, gun problems, mental illness issues, etc.

And I don't. There are too many wackos out there who, whether a President did an objectively good job or not, will take that President's actions personally and choose to do something stupid. I have no issue with ex-Presidents having security.

If you're willing to put politicians on a higher pedestal than anyone else and afford them with armed security/border walls/etc, then why would they have any motivation to work for you and not just stuff their pockets.

Better choice than either of the two he ran against (though Romney wouldn't have been terrible). Matched up better to my socio-political outlook than either of the other two. That's in general.

Just because I want these guys to have a bit more protection doesn't mean any of the things that you mention above.

78% of the joos voted for Obama in '08. Would your family have been upset if you'd voted for McCain?

That's the wrong question. The correct question is, "would I care if anyone was upset with me with who I voted for?"

Honestly, what business is that of yours? Jesus Christ, find a hobby.

Did I ask you? Does that answer your question?

Use the handy ignore feature, honey.

So because he has a wall around his residence that means our country should have a wall around it? If he donates to Planned Parenthood would that make it ok for our government to continue funding Planned Parenthood? Or perhaps people and nations aren't the same thing.

Walls don't work. Remember?
