I thought he would have not just Mexico but all people from other countries coming to this country to work pay for it. I figured instead of a Social Security tax on people from other countries working here (which they are not entitled to anyway) he would create a border tax. This tax would be levied on all people from other countries working in this country. The money would not only be used for the wall but to secure our borders and run background checks on people entering this country. Plus I would have any business that hires out of country workers match the tax the same as Social Security. I would also make sure that anyone entering this country to work disclose who they will be working for and provide proof that all taxes are paid. All seasonal migrant workers would have to pay taxes as well for the right to use our infrastructure and the right to work in this country. A minimal income tax as well as the border tax should be paid by all people working in this country from other countries. No government subsidies. If they cannot live on what they are making then they need to go back to their country.

It is time to end the free ride.
It is time the people of this country decide who enters our country not lawless criminals.
Until almost everyone in this country is making a livable wage we have too many workers and not enough jobs.

When Donald Trump doesn't continue to advance the idiotic, I always feel conflicted by both my sense of relief that he won't make a fool of us in this moment and frustration that this is the game we must continue to play each time he opens his mouth or moves his fingers.

Not even close. You really should get used to it. Congress isn't going to build a wall Trump told Americans that Mexico would pay for. Trump isn't giving up our international agreements. You hear any NAFTA talk lately? He made a video about his first 100 days in office, NAFTA wasn't mentioned once.

It's just not going to happen.
