Megan Kelly appears to be switching political parties now that she was scorned by Trump, and couldn't thwart his White House bid. The original proverb you had a little fun with remains correct.

Besides your errant comment, I'm glad you brought this to my attention. I didn't see her making the jump to the networks, but good for her, and sad for CNN. They needed her. I suspect with the money she was able to command, the networks were the obvious way to go.

It will give her a lot more viewers and a lot more credibility, and perhaps money too (not that she needs it)!

I think you're right. They are going to make her their star. And I think she'll be a good one.

And I think she's going to give Trump and the administration fits, in the process.

She sure does, and i think a lot of us lefties had a lot of respect for that. It took integrity for her to stand up against the republican presidential candidate like that.

She talked herself out of a job it looks like, she made it politically impossible to stay even thought the bosses were offering her a contract....day to day life would have been miserable. I think we will be able to prove it with the NBC contract:

Getting $15 mil now

As of a year and a half ago she was dreaming of $25-$30

Was offered $20 and not dime more by Fox

What did she end up taking? The people I have been reading have been saying that everybody else would have a lot of trouble getting her even the $15 she is getting now. I think we are going to get told that she ended up taking a job for so little money that the only thing that explains it is the inability to stay at Fox.

Dont tell me that she is not strongly motivated by money, because her actions over the last two years indicate that she is.

I am sometimes wrong.

That is not why she did it, she was trying to polish up her resume for the next contract negotiation. What did her in at Fox was going after a beloved rainmaker boss in private and in public. She was a bad employee, who does not get along well with the other employees, a reoccurring problem for her which makes an already weak and demoralized NBC news betting the farm on her a risky bet because she is not likely to change her spots at her age.

I agree with your final comment; if the average lefty was attentive, they wouldn't have let Trump slip into office, nor HRC steal the nomination.

I like lefties - if they can temper idealism with pragmatic reality. I like them best when the're classical liberals, rather than what often today passes for "liberal". (Can you imagine anyone desiring to silence dissenting speech on university campuses, to be worthy of being called a 'liberal'?)

As I would expect, but how much lower was it? The fact that all parties are all hush-hush about this indicates to me that the NBC contract is a lot less than $20 million. I would not be shocked to find out that it is less that the $15 mil she got at Fox before she blew up that gig, much as she apparently blew up her law career.
 
She probably had to leave the masculine environment.

We all remember what a humiliating disaster the Couric jump was right? The idea that with her personality Kelly can succeed where Couric failed is flimsy at best, there is no historical precedent for it.
