Not when you see all the other things China is doing at the same time:
The hyperbolic part was calling a drone a vessel.

They can claim anything they want but that does not change the fact that their actions require us to respond appropiately.

Im not complaining nor do i know enough about the details to determine what an appropiate response is.What would be an appropriate response?
Draw a red line in the waves? Steal some China military stuff? Bomb a rice field? Complaine but do nothing?
Go play some golf over Christmas Vacation?
Meh.
We played this game for nearly 5 decades with the U.S.S.R.
Now we'll play it with China.
The only war that may occur might be a trade war. (looking more & more possible with the recent election)
Well yeah, but if we start messing around in those terms there goes the value of the dollar. It will be a one sided war. They hold a lot of our debt we could refuse to pay. [although Japan now holds the most]
Under maritime law, it is a "vessel". It's more interesting that it is US property, and not "foundation" or "private" property. That would be piracy, this is much more serious because it is US government property.
But at the end of the day, they are "punking" Obama.
China steals a machine and its world war III; Russia screws with the US election and its crickets. The first item is a diplomatic incident; the latter is an act of war.... but, once again, our Con friends have no sense of equivalence.
