US investigating jail where black man died after being held for months over $5 [W:42]

Re: US investigating jail where black man died after being held for months over $5 [W

How about focusing on THIS instance instead of attacking the whole complex? Sounds a whole lot like BLM ****.

Until this country is willing to go to virtual war over this kind of malfeasance, it will be forever thus. Incompetence, in this instance, is a crime that should be punished. Lack of double-check redundancy, in this instance, should be a crime. It is the only way to send a message to the next idiot.

"Oops," should NOT be a defense.

Maggie, sorry, but i think that's ironic. You are claiming that the prison system should not be hit by a broad brush. Then you are using a broad brush to criticize BLM.

Regardless of the politics.

The entire family, neighborhood, and the cops let this young man down.

He was never a danger to anyone. I knew who, and what he was. He was running 1/2 full in the brain dept. He used to pester me every day when I worked in his neighborhood, and to be truthful, he did pizz me off at times. I had to keep an eye on everything because he would end up down the street with my tools. But some days, he would stop by and help me toss my scrap drywall into the truck for a few bucks and he would have me laughing my azz off.

Well, hmmm. Let me explain what I meant by that. I compared BLM because they have condemned the entire police force of the USA because of the actions of a very few. Hopefully that's taken out the irony...

In that sense, i understand what you're saying. It does take away the irony, though i am uncertain how widespread that condemnation is (was?) among BLM.

I guess i was thinking that, as a general rule, we should appropriately select the group we intend to target, rather than expanding that group. For example, expanding the group from cops who commit police brutality to all cops is inappropriate (as you rightly point out). I guess i was just surprised because i feel like, although there are many individual supporters of BLM who have done horrible things, BLM also kinda stands against targeting all blacks when targeting criminals would be more appropriate. So in my mind, they (at times hypocritically) actually support this rejection of prejudice, the appropriate treatment of individuals, whatever you want to call it; what i consider to be the theme at play here.

This is what happens bureaucrats are constantly held unaccountable for their mistakes.

They make mistakes when they are held unaccountable?

"Us"? Do you have a mouse in your pocket?

Yea, the brains of the operation.

They make mistakes when they are held unaccountable?

They're never held accountable.

Re: US investigating jail where black man died after being held for months over $5 [W

They're never held accountable.

If I find just one example of the opposite, will you admit you're wrong?

What if I post five examples that prove I'm right? Will you admit that I'm right?

How would I prove that bureaucrats aren't held accountable?

Really?...

Nope, you're still falling far too short of your claim. You stated they are never held accountable so they make mistakes. I want you to show that no bureaucrat has ever been held accountable.

You're welcome to provide evidence instead of complaining about Lerner.

It's very safe to say that bureaucrats aren't held accountable and obviously there are no absolutes and you're try to do nothing more here that play word games.

Only that is not what you said. You strictly qualified it with never then complained about Lois Lerner.

You're welcomed to pony up the proof.

It's going to be 4 long years for you apdst.

Like I said, you're playing semantics.

Apdst, you complaining about 1 person doesn't prove that any others don't suffer consequences or that they never do.

As I said, it's going to be 4 very long years for you.

Do you even know what semantics mean?
