Illegal immigrant accused of killing 2 in hit and run had been deported 8 times

The blood of the dead is on the hands of the individual who killed them.

This is as asinine as those that try to lack of gun laws and those who fight against them are responsible for a gun death. It'd be one thing if this person broke the law and was known to have done that and was explicitly allowed to continue on despite that, but that's not the case here. He was being picked up and deported, but he kept breaking the law.

If existing immigration laws had been enforced, this person would have been in a federal prison and unable to kill anyone outside it. Re-entering the U.S. after being deported is a serious crime, and it is far from clear why he was not incarcerated for it the first time. There should never be multiple deportations of any alien, unless he is foolish enough to re-enter again after having served a long stretch for re-entering the first time.

The Marxist liar who has been disgracing the presidency for eight years has not taken "care that the laws be faithfully executed," as the Constitution required him to. He has failed generally to perform that duty, and in particular by declining to enforce whatever federal immigration laws he did not happen to like. As he said, he wanted a fundamental transformation of this country, and he hoped to achieve that partly by letting aliens enter U.S. territory illegally. Mr. Obama saw a chance to buy their votes, after they had been here long enough to be granted amnesty, with promises of federal handouts of money earned by Americans. The defeat of the other Marxist liar who hoped to succeed him has put a slight crimp in that scheme.

Who ordered released a lot of criminal illegal aliens?

Yes it was Obama.

You can't get around that.

Bottom line is Obama is certainly no worse on immigration issues than Reagan or Bush the II. It's a little bit interesting to me that immigration exploded as a national issue on the right when Obama was in office and during a time when we've had the slowest (perhaps zero) growth in the illegal population since at least Reagan, more agents at the border than ever before, and more money and resources directed at preventing illegal immigration than ever before.

I don't object to people who think we need to do more, but I just don't get the tendency to treat Obama as if he's done a uniquely bad job on immigration - there just aren't any facts to back that up.

And by your response it is apparent you don't.

You think it is a better plan to let him go to commit more serious crimes.

Yes, good plan you have there.

Using similar 'logic' we could absolutely reduce all crime in this country by imposing mandatory jail sentences on speeding motorists, jay walkers, etc. Lock them all up for extended terms and crime will go down - just a matter of probability. Break into a car - 40 years! That would also reduce crime.

Bottom line - no, I don't want many $billions of our tax dollars going to jailing non-violent 'criminals' whose only charge is trying to sneak across the border. If crime is what you're worried about, there a lots of better ways to spend that money than funneling it to the private, for-profit prison industry to house immigration law violators for years.

Obama has done everything in his power to make it clear that it's ok to illegally immigrate to this country and you'll receive as many safety net benefits as the government can muster. That's the differentce between then and now.

Show me. Show me where Obama has welcomed illegal immigration or admit this is a pack of lies.

Obama initiated an executive order saying that he wouldn't deport illegals.

Obama initiated an executive order saying that he wouldn't deport illegals.

Obama's order said that illegals who'd been in the US for 5 years could get registered and background checked and get work permits for 3 years. Since then, 230,000 illegals have been deported.
No mention of any benefits. They wouldn't be eligible until they'd paid into SS for I forget how long.

So, Obama said that he would issue an executive order stating that they wouldn't be deported: exactly like I said. They would get benefits (work permits). No matter how much you wanna dress it up, Obama promised not to deport illegal immigrants and give them benefits.

Yeesh.

2007-2011

The most recent peak was in 2012.

Since 1996, turn-aways and deportees have been lumped together, and since then, the totals have indeed roughly the same. Sometimes higher, sometimes lower.

"President Obama has moved millions of people out. Nobody knows about it. Nobody talks about it. But under Obama, millions of people have been moved out of this country. They've been deported," Trump said. . . . From fiscal years 2009 to 2014, there have been more than 2.4 million removals, according to DHS data. Fiscal year 2009 includes data for a few months in which Obama was not in office.Still, if we add just the full fiscal years in which he has been office, and for which data is available (2010-2014), there have been over 2 million removals. That corroborates Trump’s claim that "under Obama, millions of people have been moved out of this country."

Trump right on Obama's deportation numbers, wrong about nobody talking about it | PolitiFact

Need I keep going?

High deportation figures are misleading - LA Times

Dumb conclusions are dumb. People have been sneaking into this country illegally, multiple times, since well before Obama.

Ridiculous, blind, ignorant partisanship will never solve any problems.

Neither will sanctuary cities.

No I got it.

OBAMA OBAMA OBAMA!!!!!!!! We understand. All the world's problems are the result of Obama.

I thought all of the world's problems are the result of Reagan and GWB.

I thought all of the world's problems are the result of Reagan and GWB.

I thought the second a president leaves office, they were forever immune from criticism because their actions no longer have any influence on the state of the world.

What will you guys whine about after inauguration day? Surely not Obamacare. Because then I'll have no choice but to roll my eyes and say "Blame Obama."
