Electoral College voter: I'm getting death threats

"Alt-left terrorism." Far out, man.

Their looney, moonbat right wing made up "alt right" to describe themselves and now they invent "alt left" and they think it actually means something.

They are forever at war with the dictionary... so much that they just make words up anymore.

What do you call left wingers threatening death to others to affect political change?

Is that not the VERY DEFINITION of terrorism?

Prove the threats are coming from liberals.

For those who might not know, one does further their credibility by posting a link to an article attributed to the Washington Times. This merely reveals a poster's extreme partisanship.

So should I use the NY Times?

would they be credible to you?

No you show me posters here saying obama should be hanged, and hillary should be shot and I will agree with you. There is no excuse for calls of violence on any side. I don't believe that posts like you suggest would fly here by any side.

now lets see the poster's posts saying what you claimed they said.

Are there posters here saying that the electoral college voters should be shot or hanged or killed if they don't change their vote?

Both sides of the political spectrum have their nuts and crazies. Neither can really be more violent nor is either side free of having idiots making stupid, horrible threats.

So are you saying I wold be in as much peril walking down the street in a hillary hat in say boise idaho, as I would be wearing a red trump hat at many liberal colleges?

Are you suggesting had hillary won, there would be riots in the street?

You're the one arguing that if Hillary had won, the right would have been more polite about it.

In other words, your entire argument is this:

"Hypothesis Contrary to Fact (Argumentum Ad Speculum): Trying to prove something in the real world by using imaginary examples alone, or asserting that, if hypothetically X had occurred, Y would have been the result. For instance, suppose an individual asserts that if Einstein had been aborted in utero, the world would never have learned about relativity, or that if Monet had been trained as a butcher rather than going to college, the impressionistic movement would have never influenced modern art. Such hypotheses are misleading lines of argument because it is often possible that some other individual would have solved the relativistic equations or introduced an impressionistic art style. The speculation might make an interesting thought-experiment, but it is simply useless when it comes to actually proving anything about the real world. A common example is the idea that one "owes" her success to another individual who taught her. For instance, "You owe me part of your increased salary. If I hadn't taught you how to recognize logical fallacies, you would be flipping hamburgers at McDonald's for minimum wages right now instead of taking in hundreds of thousands of dollars as a lawyer." Perhaps. But perhaps the audience would have learned about logical fallacies elsewhere, so the hypothetical situation described is meaningless."

Historical examples of the right wing rioting over election results?

Historical examples of the right wing rioting over election results?

Do you have any examples of left wing rioting?

Note that i have not seen any evidence to believe that the 61 arrested for rioting after the election were left wing.

Considering there were some who were talking about secession, violent if need be, when it looked like Hillary was going to win, its possible that a different kind of violence could have occurred.

You could be, depending on where you went in that Hillary hat. But then not all, not even most of those college kids protesting are being violent. Plenty are, but they are still a minority.

Historically, it has been shown, this was highly unlikely.

Now you are not being realistic. There is incident upon incident where trump supporters were harrassed, assaulted and attacked on campuses around the nation.

hell, I opined with an old buddy of mine that if we wanted to get into an easy fight as we did in our youth, all we need is a MAGA hat and a college campus.

Talk is talk. action is action.

Most Nazis didn't "see" evidence of the holocost either, Just sayin. We tend to see what we want to see. Some of us more than others. especially when butt hurt over the democratic process....

Wow you're equivocating leftists with Nazis? Pretty nasty rhetorical ploy.

:lamo Now this is an example of real denial....

What do you think the political affiliation of these young people are? Certainly not the 'Young Republicans club'....

Prove the threats are coming from liberals.

Well it could be Progressives, but liberals would do it too. Given the leftwing protests including violence, it's difficult to overcome the logic that it's liberals.

Why make excuses for them?

Nazi's were National Socialists.....That's a fact.

Nazis called themselves National Socialists, and that's a fact.
Socialism and being "leftist' are two different things, and that's yet another.
Socialism has a specific meaning, and that's yet another.
"Leftist" means different things to different people, and that's yet another.
