Our local stations in Cincinnati are on the scene. one person is in critical condition-7 others to the hospital as well. Students told to shelter in place-

now we are being told a SUSPECT IS DEAD

WCMH in Columbus reporting "suspect is dead". no information if it was police action or self inflicted. Area is not yet clear-no idea if there is another shooter. The shelter in place is still active.

That's a ref to a training film/program developed by the Houston Police Dept. that's used on college campuses all over the country.

apparently the activity was centered in a garage on campus. The reporters are noting that the police appear to be more "relaxed" now at least in the staging area. But the shelter in place is still in effect. A local HS district is going into lockdown because that community's police are part of the response to this active shooter (Upper Arlington)

NOW TWO SUSPECTS being escorted out in handcuffs

There's more than one suspect? Well that rules out the suspect being a crazy lone shooter.

well at this point its hard to say. the action is concentrated at a parking garage. two have been taken into custody and another "suspect" is reportedly DOA

Not really. The cops are going to round up anyone that might[\u] be involved. It's too early in the incident to really tell what is going on.

The first reports to come out of these situations are most often chaotic and based on incomplete information. The two suspects could be people thought to be involved who will later turn out not to be, or they could be arrested for some totally unrelated reasons (the police often do that sort of thing). We'll have to wait and see what actually happened. I do hope loss of life is minimal.

Hearing one suspect was armed with a gun and a machete. One professor was stabbed.

true-cop comes across someone in the shooting zone-might handcuff them for safety

THE SHELTER IN PLACE ORDER HAS NOW BEEN LIFTED

All Classes for today have been canceled but because the SIP has been lifted, it appears that means the police are sure there is no more suspects at large
