Sessions is a horrible choice. A man that has said the Voting Rights Act of 1965 was "intrusive" and should be struck down for Attorney general? Yes, that is a horrible choice. I know many Trump supporters who say that Trump is neither Misogynist or Racist, but come on, many of his appointments seem to have at least one of those issues in their past. At what point do Trump supporters admit he is an enabler of racism and misogyny?

He did, however, also admit that he had called the Voting Rights Act of 1965 a "piece of intrusive legislation", a phrase he stood behind even in his confirmation hearings. To this day, he argues that Section five – a protective measure that concerns a handful of (mostly southern) states with appalling race histories – of the Voting Rights Act should be struck down.

Did Sessions used to be a Democrat?

Did Sessions used to be a Democrat?

Don't think so, but even if he were a former Dem, than So what? Does that make his comments and actions any less bad? No. Has he renounced his views that the Voting Rights Act should be struck down? No.

Again, what does him being a former Dem

Let the bashing begin.

Yeah, it hardly matters who he appoints; anyone he does will be screeched at for being racist and sexist and homophobic and a puppy-kicker and a kitten-eater . . .

And the KKK get more people in the Trump administration.

I'm open to Flynn and Pompeo, moreso for the former than the latter, but Session for AG? Geez. I don't think Bannon is racist, but Sessions? I really think he might be. Also say goodbye to criminal justice reform, this is a guy who's views on crime could have been pulled from the 90's. And we were tired about hearing about super-predators!

Jeff Sessions? Oh, that's about right for this crowd.

The former deputy, Thomas Figures, who was an assistant United States Attorney for seven years, said in a written statement that Mr. Sessions once admonished him to be careful about what he said ''to white folks.'' Mr. Figures is black.

He confirmed statements disclosed earlier that Mr. Sessions had described the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People as ''un-American.''

He added: ''There was a period in our own lifetimes when blacks were regularly admonished to be particularly polite or deferential, and a remark of that sort may just have slipped out inadvertently.'' The Klan and Marijuana

In the statement, Mr. Figures also provided new details of a conversation in which Mr. Sessions purportedly said he had considered the Ku Klux Klan an acceptable organization until he learned that its members used marijuana.

What a fun game to play!

Bill Clinton helped sink his wife's chances for an endorsement from Ted Kennedy by belittling Barack Obama as nothing but a race-based candidate.

"A few years ago, this guy would have been getting us coffee," the former president told the liberal lion from Massachusetts, according to the gossipy new campaign book, "Game Change."

The book says Kennedy was deeply offended and recounted the conversation to friends with fury.

After Kennedy sided with Obama, Clinton reportedly griped, "the only reason you are endorsing him is because he's black. Let's just be clear."

Seeing as we're playing this game, let's not forget Harry Reid:

Harry Reid, the Democrat Senate Majority Leader and the national government's highest-ranking Mormon, has admitted now remarking apparently with some amazement on the nation's highest-ranking black Democrat as being notably "light-skinned" and having "no Negro dialect unless he wanted to have one."

Oh, no big deal? He felt the need to apologize for it:

I deeply regret using such a poor choice of words. I sincerely apologize for offending any and all Americans, especially African Americans for my improper comments.

So, while you were digging up 30-year-old New York Times stories, how did you manage to skip over those?

I would've chosen Trey Gowdy. That would've given Hillary a heart attack.

I hate kittens but I would never eat one, but they make great glove liners.
