Jesse Jackson Urges Obama To Issue Pardon For Clinton

So then it's not really a pardon, but rather a grant of immunity for any crimes possibly committed, rather like FISA II granted the various telecoms for crimes they committed for the Bush regime.
Tomato Tomahto...it has been described as a pardon ala the Ford/Nixon pardon. Either way...

Pardoning would be an admission of guilt. I don't think she's guilty of anything regarding her infamous emails. She's a slime ball politician no doubt. Of course Trump isn't going to pursue anything. They've been in bed for years.
There is zero question she violated federal law. Further...there is ABSOLUTELY precedence even this year of a federal employee (a sailor charged and convicted and sentenced for mere possession of Classified materials of lower volatility than that which it has been proven HRC did on her personal server).

Yes, tomato, tomahto, US citizen or accused terrorist, the words we use mean nothing. Rational public dialogue is so...yesterday.

Why isn't the FBI pursuing it?

Ima let you go ahead and get wrapped around the axle over what something that may or may not happen is actually called,.

Pardon for what? I thought she didn't do anything wrong?

A blanket pardon? So....she is like a get-out-of-jail-free card?

This sounds like he wants another of those prospective pardons like Ford granted Nixon. He wasn't pardoning Nixon for any crime he had committed. Instead, Ford pardoned him for any crimes he might in future be found to have committed. I think that is an abuse of the President's pardon power.

Thanks for your concern Vance, but I'm not really wrapped around the axle.

If it were up to me, and it ain't, I would prefer she be indicted and convicted of a number of crimes, and then pardoned by Donald, just so we could be consistent with Ford's pardon of Nixon, also unconvicted.

Jackson is an asshole who probably needs to be audited. He's gotten rich off the backs of black Americans, and hasn't done **** for them. Same for Sharpton, and even more of a cavity check for him.

Kind of like Avon Barksdale and Stringer Bell.

Jesse Jackson? That guy's still around? I'd have thought he'd have suffocated as a result of being stuck up his own *** by now. I suppose he's got a respiratory bypass system or something....

Anyway, the question of pardon isn't all that clear. They spent several years going after her in congress, through law enforcement, in the media. The FBI cleared Clinton, then re-opened its investigation in a bid to sway the election, then cleared her again - but too late. It seems obvious that if she is now charged, it will be purely motivated by Trump's desire for political revenge (and his supporters' desire for jailing their political enemies). If anything seems to merit pardon, it's this kind of persecutory atmosphere.

Of course, the people calling for her to be jailed are just going to flip that statement on its head and claim that the fact that she hasn't been jailed is because of political favoritism. This claim will be made without the slightest shred of evidence that there is in fact such a conspiracy, the only thing behind their claim being the speaker's pre-existing hatred of Hillary and therefore, their personal opinion that she must be guilty.

(By "no evidence", I mean for example that nobody has ever disproved the FBI's claim that it had never recommended charges in Hillary's circumstances, only having recommended them in cases with additional aggravating factors. Disproving that would be evidence of favoritism. But nobody disproved it. They just chose to ignore the need to have evidence).

(Nevermind that the very same people calling for Hillary to go to jail have no problem with myriad accusations of fraud and sexual assault against their guy. That alone should be enough cause to ignore anyone jeering at the possibility of pardoning her.)

If someone goes to jail simply because of whom becomes President at a later date, then we really might as well call it quits.

Did she commit crimes? A simple question...yes or no. Did she violate federal law?

It's not a simple question. You want to make it a "simple question" because if you do so, you don't have to think about or respond to what I said.

Respond to what I actually said, and then you'll get a response.

It absolutely IS a simple question. There are laws. there is the violation of the law. You may have a million excuses for violating the law but the violation of the law remains absolute.

As for your comment "nobody has ever disproved the FBI's claim that it had never recommended charges in Hillary's circumstances" sure they have. Mike Pence alluded to it. Kristian Saucier is in prison right now on charges that are far less damning than those Hillary is ABSOLUTELY guilty of.

Right. Rich white people with power face the same justice system that poor people do.

What a disgusting attempt to evade the point you just made.

Of course poor people and rich people get different outcomes; I know it better than you, of course, because I actually am on the defense side in that system.

But as you are perfectly well aware - hence the cowardly nature of your dodge - precisely no poor people were in Clinton's position, hence the disparate treatment of poor and rich has precisely NOTHING to do with my point that none of you "jail Hillary" people have disproved the FBI's statement that it had never charged anyone in Clinton's circumstances, that it had only charged people with aggravating factors.

If I have to spell it out, and sadly it appears I need to: none of the people it charged were poor, either

If I really wanted to read your post again, I'd go read it. You don't need to repost your previous pile in every thread.

Not even poor people would share classified information with any foreign nation that wanted to have it. I saw a story about a black guy in California doing life for stealing a $2.50 sandwich. It was his 3rd strike. Yet Hillary Clinton can **** on the country by committing felonies for 30 years and get away with it.

What's wrong with this picture?

to begin with, your insistence that hillary has 30 years of felonies under her belt is an obvious lie

OJ Simpson didn't murder his ex wife and her friend, because a jury of biased & corrupt people let him go, right?
Miscarriages of justice occur daily in this country. No one still believes that Hillary Clinton is just a victim of conservative persecution.

she has never been found guilty of anything but running an uninteresting campaign
your assertion that she is criminal is without basis in fact

Obama's probably pissed as hell they maneuvered, cajoled, and probably threatened people into getting the nomination, and LOST. His legacy is in dire jeopardy because of these wall-street ass-kissing fake Democrats (party of the worker? Give me a break...party to scam the poor is more like it). Obama should issue a pardon, and I could see him doing so.

But for the sake of not just the Democrats, but the country, he should issue a pardon not just for Hillary. Issue a pardon for Bill, Hillary, Chelsea, Abedin, and a bunch of other people involved, and specifically state that it was due to both corruption at the Clinton foundation, and putting the country at risk with unsecured classified info. For God's sake, Comey's statement alone showed that the "regular Joe" would have been thrown in max. security for doing the crap they did. Get these idiots out.

Destroy any pay-to-play influence that they have in the Democratic party, at the same time drastically reducing the influence of people like Pelosi, Gore, Wasserman Schultz, et al. People involved in insider trading, hare-brained "carbon tax" schemes that are massive poor to well-connected transfers of wealth, and political corruption. Get rid of these idiots, remove them from the limelight, and get back to basics...working for the rights of the common worker, improving labor and environmental laws, and sound welfare policies. Not this Euro-left wing PC bull****.

Why are Bill Clinton and Hillary Clinton constantly butting up against criminal allegations, when other powerful Democrats aren't? There are hundreds of powerful Democrats in this country who will never be accused of being lawbreakers.

Why is that? 'Publican persecution?

Man, the depths they sunk to were unreal. Like leaking a photo to Perez Hilton of Bernie Sanders in his swim trunks. I'm not making that one up. I can't even figure out HRC's camps motivation for doing that, besides sheer desperation.
