San Francisco Teachers Union Offers Anti-Trump Lesson Plan [W:124]

Wow. Y'all are all about local and state control until someone doesn't follow your party-line. Then you start crying for censorship and repercussions.
Hypocritical whining is what this is about.
If you don't like it, move to another state already.

Trump supporters are the right wing version of SJWs, so it's not entirely surprising.

Thoughts?

I know I have many..........

I'm sure you do have many thoughts... most of which are no doubt formed by your preconceptions, rather than an actual examination of the lesson plan you are presenting for discussion.

I read the plan linked in your post several times, and I've seen two references to Trump in the plan. One comes from an interview included as a supplementary source wherein Trump's exact words in response to a question about the "racial divide" are quoted...

...and the only other direct reference to Trump is a link to his acceptance speech, highlighting his conciliatory tone.

I can understand, given your incessant partisan whining on this board, why you've presented this in the manner you did. But I think it's important to point out that provocations based upon deliberate misrepresentations and ignorance are neither helpful nor warranted in the current political climate.

San Francisco Teachers Union Offers Anti-Trump Lesson Plan - ABC News
The union representing San Francisco's public school teachers has offered a classroom lesson plan that calls President-elect Donald Trump a racist and sexist man who became president "by pandering to a huge racist and sexist base."

The United Educators of San Francisco posted the plan on its website and distributed the plan via an email newsletter to its more than 6,000 members. The school district has more than 57,000 students.

It is unclear how many teachers have used the plan outlined by a Mission High School teacher, said union spokesman Matthew Hardy and school district spokeswoman Gentle Blythe on Wednesday.

For those interested, here is the plan referenced in the ABC News article above

So, if anyone wants to wonder where the "conditioning" comes from, where the ideas and emotional crisis is being fostered, you can start in our childrens classrooms.

No surprise that San Francisco's public school teachers are the pinnacle and forefront of the liberal / progressive indoctrination in the education.

Hmm...that lesson plan seems a little one sided.

Only way the left can win an argument, and typically cast within, and overburdened with, emotional, sans facts.

I wonder what the left's response would be should someone claim bullying, triggering and microaggression from that lesson plan?

I wonder if she wants teachers to validate the feelings of students who support Trump too?

I particularly like point #5. It's important for kids to learn that there is no "losing" and that not winning simply means that the other guys cheated and are oppressing you. That's a life lesson none of us should live without!!

You look at the anti-Trump protesters and that's exactly the what you get from them. So yes, the anti-Trump protests ARE the bitter fruit of the liberal / progressive indoctrination of the education system. We leave this in place at the peril of the nation's future.

If you go to the United Educators of San Francisco, they have links directly to the NEA, the National Teachers Union.

People should know the President of the NEA is currently serving as the Chairman of the Board of George Soros Democracy Alliance.

John C. Stocks - Democracy Alliance

These are the people we are being forced to allow to educate our children.

By government edict and government sponsored, supported and endorsed monopoly.

Well, you left this line out of the article:

I wonder why you did that.

The guy is just a teacher who submitted an idea for a topic in class, that is BTW, is backed up by everything Trump has said. The kids are thinking it too: they can read and watch the news, and they have parents who have probably said the very same things, so putting it out there can only be good as a civics lesson. And while they're talking about it, things like, oh I dunno; The Civil War, or WWII might come up, just for contrast and comparison: ya'know a full learning session(s).

Even so, it has no bearing on the fact that the leftist teachers have infected the education system with liberal / progressive indoctrination, the bitter fruits of which we are seeing in the anti-Trump riots.

We ignore this infection at the peril of the nation's future.

As the Nation has witnessed with the psychotic emotional breakdowns many young people have been displaying after Hillary lost, the conditioning and indoctrination of the Nations youth has been quite successful.

Viewing the effort of teachers, who perhaps spend more time with our children than their parents do, the agenda they are pushing is not in question.

What should be even more alarming is the connections in our schools to radical ideological groups fronted by the likes of George Soros and his groups.

I am hopeful we are seeing an awakening to this by voters, and a shift to remove these influences from our Nations public schools.

The thing is, some of these indoctrinated student are probably in support of that idea, a bad one, if you ask me, mainly due to the poor education and strong indoctrination they've received from these types of teachers over the course of their education.

Steve Bannon Suggests There Are Too Many Asian CEOs In Silicon Valley | The Huffington Post

Steve Bannon:

Nope; no racism there. No need to bring up the fact that the probable chief of staff of the president of the United States is a racist. That teacher should have done the conservative thing and just forgot about it or said "look what a crook Hillary is".

Just lie to students. That's how to handle it

And if he said we need more diversity? Is he still a racist?

Isn't it funny how the left went absolutely bonkers when Trump said he'd wait and see about accepting the election results? Now, here they are, the ultimate hypocrites, won't accept the election results.

Isn't this Communist Manifesto stuff? Take over the educational systems to indoctrinate the young into believing your ideology. If it doesn't conform to the school board or state curiculum requirements, why would it be taught? And why is a teachers' union (presumably there to protect teacher work rights) getting involved in the curriculum?

One can only continue to point out and object to, this leftist indoctrination in education. Should control of education be returned to the local level, a good thing, one can only hope that greater influence and greater common sense is injected, and this indoctrination reduced, curbed and, if at all possible, eliminated from education.

Politics has no place in the classroom in that context.

All valid questions. This lesson plan came from one teacher, but was sent to 6000 recipients through the union that represents them. We know this type of messaging has become prevalent in our Nations public schools.

Equally disturbing, this particular union has links on it's website, where this lesson plan is available, directly to the NEA. The NEA website contains similar messaging to it's membership.

This is indeed proof of the conditioning and ideological messaging being designed and pushed by the Unions who represent the bulk of our Nations public school teachers.

These unions are all connected to the liberal/socialist progressive agenda promoted by the likes of George Soros and friends. All voters should be very concerned by this fact.

Actually, you are the one who doesn't know.

I paid very close attention to the media's fraudulent efforts.

I looked at what the media reported Trump saying, and then went to the full transcript of his comments so I could view the out of context sound bites the corrupt media was using.

I posted the full context dozens of time here on DP to show Hillary's MSM partners were liars and corrupt.

I'm not going to replay those efforts. You are welcome to cling to their lies.

The beautiful fact is, the voters saw what was going on, and decided to ignore the brainwashing and indoctrination. Democrats had their asses handed to them in both National and Statewide races. Republicans control more State Houses than at any time since the party was founded. They will control the White House, and the Congress.

So I think this agenda the left has been running, requiring deceit, fraud, corruption and lies, is not working. I wholeheartedly support the left continue with it though, for obvious reasons.

No, the beautiful fact is - the majority of American voted for Hillary and Trump said those things as the media reported them. I guess though that a Hillary operative was on that Access Hollywood bus...

You don't know what you're talking about dude.

So I listened to the whole interview. Unlike some who chose to drink the Kool-Aid, I don't allow a BS website like Huffpo to tell me what I am allowed to know.

Trump was talking about kids coming from other countries and going to Yale, Harvard, Stanford, and they were leaving the country and not being allowed to return. And Trump said that is not right. Oops, there goes that lie the left was telling about "foreigners"

As to Bannon's comments, he never finished the thought. So you tell me what he was starting to say.

Did you listen to the whole interview, or just go by what you were instructed to believe in HuffPo's propaganda piece?

The racist teachers, like the ones in San Francisco, fomenting hate, and pushing lies, must be permanently removed from the classrooms of our public schools. If they want to teach this type of blind propaganda, they can do so in private schools where taxpayers are not required to underwrite their deceit.

Why don't you read Bannon's own paper and try and figure out where the media is getting it's news.

No, you don't know what you are talking about dude.

As to voters, Donald Trump was elected the 45th President of the United States. Guess you'll have to figure out how to get used to that.

Voters clearly saw through the lies and distortion the left attempted. Some still cling to them, which is their right.

He was not elected by the majority. He was elected by the electorate. He IS the president, but the majority of Americans weren't stupid enough to vote for him.

Subversive and disgusting. Public unions suck wind.

He was not elected by the majority. He was elected by the electorate. He IS the president, but the majority of Americans weren't stupid enough to vote for him.

And since the definition of "electorate" is "all the people in a country or area who are entitled to vote in an election".. even that's not true. He will merely be "selected" by the electoral college. Our system is a shining example to the rest of the world!

He was not elected by the majority. He was elected by the electorate. He IS the president, but the majority of Americans weren't stupid enough to vote for him.

Further evidence of the inspired brilliance of our Founding Fathers, who knew the country must be protected against the tyranny of the majority.

The progressive insanity of California should never be allowed to decide who the President should be for the rest of the country. Take away the dependents Progressives have created in California, and Hillary would have lost the popular vote by a wide number.
