Well it would seem that you disagree with yourself quite a bit. There have been widespread increases in hate crimes against minority since Trump has been elected. If you are not embarrassed by that, then there is something wrong with you.

It certainly seems that way, and there's a thread on DP already about some Muslim girl having invented a story of being attacked by Trump supporters, so we know that some non-zero number is making this up. How many? I guess we don't really know yet. During the election, I was very vocally against Trump and Clinton, still am, but the level of lies and crying and rioting that some on the anti-Trump side are falling to is just downright embarrassing. I expected Trump to be embarrassing (and he will be), but this is just adding to a pile that doesn't need anything added to it.

So basically the only thing you have to back up your actual claim, was the link about the "hundreds of hate attacks recorded in the US since election" by the BBC.

Said story references nothing actual OFFICIAL, such as actual police reports or arrests, but rather it sites a group who's very existence benefits from creating the belief that such things are prevalent putting forward an ONLINE form for self reported "hate attacks".

Not only is this by no means conclusive in any matter and speaks to potential bias on the part of the group supposedly reporting this, but even the data itself could be compromised as shown in your own linked video where the person MISTAKENLY assumed the attack on him was due to Trump.

The group in question even acknowledges that all it has is anecdotal evidence.

So basically, your over the top hyperbolic rhetoric about "hundreds" of Hate CRIMES is ABSOLUTELY baseless, and even if we take it as a more broad "attacks" it is amazingly specious.

Yeah, people like you are part and parcel in what is helping to create this ****ty environment for both sides that is helping to fuel this kind of crap.

What's not even funny is the ridiculous broad stereotyping of an entire major segment of the country as being "un-american" simply because they disagree with you. The reality is that actions such as this represent an entirely small minority within the left, as is the case with such attacks on the right as well. SouthernDemocrat put it best earlier stating that, by and large, most people on either side are not like this.

He'll also provide a link that doesn't actually talk about HATE CRIMES, but rather a self reported, online, database by the SPLC that claims they have had hundreds of reports since the election; but those reports aren't necessarily "hate crimes", can be completely basis, are potentially anonymous online entries that are in no way verifiable, and are based entirely off the individuals perception of what happened and why which his own earlier links shows is a flawed method of judgement.

And then he'll act like all those links are somehow "proof" of his hyperbolic hysteria. Just went over this on the thread, and it's an incredibly poor argument on this part.

There undoubtably have been horrible and wrongful things done by people on both sides of the trump divide since the election happened, but his pathetic attempt to make it appear as if it's some rampant wide spread raging issue on the right while waving this one off is typical of the partisan games and Machiavellian techniques so many have played throughout this election season.

Your point would be relevant if the left wasn't out burning down cities and rioting like wild animals. Killing cops. Beating up unsuspected trump supporters.

"The Left" is not doing such a thing. A few people, relative to the entire population of "the left", in this country are engaging in protests and even fewer are engaging in unlawful activity. No city has been burnt down yet that I"m aware of, but perhaps you can provide me some sources to back up such a claim.

Nothing you just stated counters what I said, as what I said acknowledge that there are people on either side engaging in wrongful and harmful activities. But it's inaccurate and frankly idiotic to lambast the entire segment of a political ideology as responsible or a part of the acts of a gross minority.

You seem to have a mindbogglingly ridiculous double standard for facts. We can't know that hate crimes are up until we see police reports and long term studies, and it's been vetted by a team of experts, and then you have to review each case, and even then... well I mean, they probably had it coming.

This may come as a shock to you, but there are some pretty terrible people that support Trump. Eg, Andrew Anglin who runs the Daily Stormer is explicitly calling for the intimidation of "brown people".
“I am of course against any violence against these people,” he wrote. “However, I do think you should yell at them. We want them to feel that everything around them is against them. And we want them to be afraid.”​

This isn't all Trump supporters by any means, but these people are out there. This is happing now, and it's happening in the name of your party. You can choose to get out and condemn it, to say that this kind of stuff has no place in the GOP, or you can sit back and pretend that its' not happening.

This is as bad as the anti-Trump nonsense. There have been riots, true, but it's not "the left", but some subset there of. Killing cops? There have been incidents, but are they somehow politically motivated by the left? Can you prove that?

The extremes on both sides are becoming disgusting and destructive to any meaningful progress that can be made. We can't sit here and break down and start throwing out ridiculous claims when things don't quite go our way. Reason and intelligence must win the day if we are to make this Republic last.

You've already given some links that are either suspect (the dude covered in blood like he just came out of the Walking Dead) and one that completely contradicted what you were trying to say (the video which recanted that the assault was politically motivated). It's not unreasonable to ask you to back up your point and if you'l like to make good political arguments, you'll need to do so.

Please let me know where I was engaging in hyperbolic hysteria. We have a country of 300+ million. A few hundred out of 300+ million is not a widespread anything. Furthermore to say that hate crimes are up since the election is simply factual. To say that there have been hundreds of reported crimes is factual. What's worse is that you don't even understand the point of this exercise, despite explicitly being shown.

The point of this is entire farce is that many posters on this thread (see first few pages) were engaging in end of the world demagoguery because a 15 year old was beaten up by another teenager. I said that they should be just as upset about the hate crimes committed in the name of Trump as I am about this incident. The rest has been an over the top demand for sources followed by ridiculous levels of vetting of said sources.

I'm sorry if that's difficult to understand. But you are a skins fan. So I don't suppose we can expect more.
