Denver becomes first US city to allow pot in bars, restaurants

They've got the right idea, gonna need to relax as much as possible over the next 4 years..:2razz:

what are you doing in the next 4 years youre so stressed about? im just gonna keep going to work like normal

Denver becomes first US city to allow pot in bars, restaurants | Fox News Good on them. Gonna have to take some PTO and head to Denver..

I completely disagree with this. Unlike drinking one beer, one toke from a joint makes you too impaired to drive, especially with the weed that exists today. IMHO, this is totally irresponsible. Is it OK to smoke weed? Yes it is, but it needs to be done in one's home, not in a restaurant when you are going to be driving someplace afterwards.

I see a future of a whole lot of DUID arrests in Denver, Colorado.

Thats actually a good idea. If I had the money I could have a smokers lounge snd a restaurant combined and gouge people on the food. I would put the smokers lounge all the way in the back and make so that customers got done smoking would have to walk past the food that is behind a glass window on their way out of the smokers lounge and the munchies would hit them hard thus making them more likely to pay for my overpriced food.

Pot stinks though.

So when can we expect Denver to treat cigarettes equally? Oh right, never.

How are they going to get around 'No Smoking' laws, regulations?

Smoke is smoke.

Ride sharing will eventually chip away at drunk driving and the associated facilities.

More moneys for Uber? :2razz:

Just like drinking people can have designated drivers. Yes, I agree there will be an increase in arrests for impaired driving but that is something people are going to have to figure out themselves. Eventually it will decrease over time though. Not saying you think this, because I don't know your standing on it, but I don't think something should be illegal just because it will increase some bad things. People need to have personal freedom and personal consequences of their actions too.

Looks like I won't be going out in Denver if I ever have to go there.
you are not allowed to smoke cigarettes in restaurants so why should you be
able to foul up their air with your nasty pot. which smells way worse than cigarettes.

That's what I'm thinking. It is about 18 miles into town where I live (I live outside of Reno) and when we only had one Uber driver in the area it was almost as much as a taxi. Now we have about 12-15 Uber drivers in the area and it isn't that expensive at all for a night on the town with a safe drive home.

I am totally in favor of legalization. I just believe it's not a good thing to smoke it in public. Of course, I could be wrong. The Netherlands doesn't seem to have a problem with it, but the Netherlands is not the USA.

You're the first one I've seen here that said the exact thing I was thinking. I'm betting my state of Minnesota (or one of the cities here) will be one of the next places to legalize pot. I'd rather deal with some cigarette or cigar smoke than pot.

I was skiing in CO a couple of years ago and one morning when going out to the truck I got a very faint smell of something burning. It was a familiar odor but I just couldn't pinpoint what it was. Well I walked back into the condo and then saw a guy on the balcony smoking a doobie. Took me right back to 1985! Ahhh, the good old college days.

It's called 'freedom'.

I don't think they'll miss your patronage.

So are we now all admitting that the second hand smoke argument used to criminalize tobacco use was BS?

Yes, I do believe that we are....

I think all drugs (with the possible exception of heroin), alcohol, cigarettes, prostitution and gambling should all be completely legal.

But I am totally against the legalization of pot. I see nothing good coming from the glorification of Pol Pot...he was a terrible leader and I am mystified as to why Denver would make the glorification and encouragement of such a horrific regime legal. I am just shocked at this.

...

Oh....nevermind.

Sure they will. When we travel for work we spend a good deal of money everywhere.
Yep I have the freedom to not have to smell your nasty joint when I am eating.

You don't get to infringe on my rights. Your rights end were mine begin.

I had to go to CO for a project. Unfortunately it was in pueblo.

One night I went up to my hotel room and the entire floor stunk of the crap. I called down and complained to the
Front desk. They gave the person a fine and I guess said something. About 11 I started smelling something in my room.
Opened my door and it was so bad it was coming into my room underneath the door.

I went down to the front desk and told them they either did something or I was going to call the cops.

She started to say well it isn't legal. I said I looked it up it is only legal in private places.
It is not legal to smoke in public locations a hotel is a public location. They must have done something because
I never had any other issues.
