Ted Cruz Considered by Trump for Attorney General

Gee ya think?

The guy has his whole life been an all about Ted argumentative prick, and Trump is supposed to put him on the court?

When the quality of his legal mind is iffy at best?

And it has gotten no training in years...

Don better not.

He is already out of the committee. He said he left but I bet they told him to piss off. He is a Bush supporter. My impression is that he is loyal to the Bush clan and the Bush clan hates Trump.

Never mind. I thought you were talking about Cohen when you thought I was talking about Cruz. I was talking about Cohen.

For the record, I think Cruz would be great at AG.

NOW you can disagree with me.

Maybe maybe, just dont put him on the court.

Gee, dont I seem to be just a perfect nut job tonight?

I have a good excuse though...I got one of them snowflakes for a kid.

God damn but she is making everyones lives no fun, called me "irredeemable" for liking Trump since 9.10.15.

So I got an old school super conservative active army officer son, a old school very young very successful center-left daughter working a hi powered Microsoft career, and a 2 major 3 minor University of Washington snowflake who gave up looking for a job after graduation and is working as a nanny.

And the nanny has nothing but insults and threats and lectures to offer to anyone who likes Trump, or really who fails to condemn him to her standards.

Thanksgiving should be a blast.

You see the state of my head.

Amen.

John Bolton for Sec of State is also a solid choice.

But do I have that level of confidence yet?

Bolton would be the 2nd best SoS we've seen in the last 40 years. (Condi, would you please change your mind about running for POTUS?)

Bolton is pretty much hated by the rest of the world's governments, ambassadors and the UN, so that wouldn't go down well.

Ted Cruz met with Donald Trump & Team at the Trump Tower in New York today, amid speculation that he was being considered for the position of Attorney General:

Ted Cruz for AG is another unexpected choice. I thought Giuliani or Christie would get AG, but it seems like Rudy's explicitly ruled out the AG role, and meanwhile Christie's on the way out because of bridgegate. Jeff Sessions was apparently another possibility for AG, but he seems more inclined towards Secretary of Defense.

Bringing Cruz into the Trump Whitehouse would at least keep him from stirring up trouble in Congress.

LOL!!

Cruz as AG. Watch the left's heads explode if that happens.

Do they think of Cruz as an outsider or someone from the establishment? Do they slam Trump for one reason...or the other?

Maybe they'll all get together and decide that this news agency hits Trump on one issue while that agency hits him on the other. Cover all the bases.

Another thing is that Cruz is another quasi-outsider who's seen as an stubborn SOB by the rest of Washington. So when it comes to draining the swamp, the rest of Washington will take him in a serious light when it comes to any corruption to be rooted out by him. Everybody's going to be on their toes.

Trey Gowdy for AG

Ted Cruz for SCOTUS.

Wear a helmet, carry a big stick, practice your dad voice ("STFU") and keep your head down. I will pray for you.

Nope. Tanngrisnir for $2000.

Imagine someone saying a devout Muslim would be dangerous in that office. Just imagine.

Your inability to offer a rational rebuttal duly noted. The man is a well-known Christian Dominionist. That that doesn't concern you speaks only to pure ignorance or willful blindness.

Why do you hate rationality and intellectual honesty?

A "rebuttal" to what? Your religious bigotry? None required; it's incandescent.

Cruz is well qualified for the AG position.

My vote for AG would be Kris Kobach, the Kansas secretary of state.

But the joke in the Senate is the vote for Cruz to be AG would be 100 to 0 for his confirmation.
They want him gone.

I haven't offered any religious bigotry.

Why be so dishonest and pretend that I have?

This seems quite difficult for you.

And the KKK doesn't have a problem with minorities; they're just about white pride. Yeah.

Meanwhile, you think that Cruz is disqualified from AG because of his religion.

I can see how someone like you would actually believe that.

No, I don't. Go back, reread what I wrote, and try again.

This time, try being honest. Go ahead, I'll wait.

Obviously misses sarcasm.

Yeah. You did. You said:

He's a religious fanatic who believe in magic and magical thinking in a way that makes Ashcroft look like a piker.

The more power someone like Cruz has, the more danger to our legal system.

So, obviously you believe his religion disqualifies him.

And what, exactly, do you mean by his belief in "magic" or "magical thinking"?

Why, it's:

You do? That's just too damned bad.

Christians believe that the universe and all that's in it was created by a single act of will.

They believe in magic.

Simply that the universe was created by God. Which is the basis of pretty much all religious belief.

Thus, you believe his rather unremarkable Christianity, and religion in general, disqualifies him from office.

Thus, your religious bigotry.

Not that anyone who could read really needed it explained.

Obviously misses sarcasm.

No, I noticed it. You're just not very good at all using it.
So, obviously you believe his religion disqualifies him.

Yawn. More dishonesty. His fanaticism is what disqualifies him, amongst several other factors. Obama is a Christian, and he's just fine for the office, as he's not a fundamentalist lunatic. If you can't see the difference, I can't help you.

No, it's not. That you don't understand that explains volumes about why you're so out of your depth here.
Thus, you believe his rather unremarkable Christianity, and religion in general, disqualifies him from office.

More lies. That's sad. He is a fanatic. You try and gloss over this fact. He is a Seven Mountain Dominionist. You try and deflect from that.
Thus, your religious bigotry.

Newp, as I've already demonstrated. Please stop trying to use words you clearly don't understand.

I accept your admission you have zero interest in rational discourse.

I dislike Ted Cruz personally but I think he is brilliant and would make a good AG. However, I'm still holding out hope for Trey Gowdy.

Whatever. You said his fanaticism was believing in "magic." You said that the "magic" was believing in Creation. These were your words.

Now that you've been called on your bigotry, you're trying to spin it and labeling me the "dishonest" one.

This exchange speaks for itself, and you know I'm right. You also know that I know I'm right. Thus, I decline to ride the merry-go-round any further. If you don't have the fortitude to stand behind what you say, that's not my problem. Maybe you should say different, less-embarrassing things.

Indeed! I don't deny them. Way to completely and utterly miss the point.
Now that you've been called on your bigotry, you're trying to spin it and labeling me the "dishonest" one.

You have yet to demonstrate any bigotry on my part, despite the fact that my position has been explained to you in very simple terms.

Thanks for admitting you're wrong and I'm right. I knew you'd come around.

Sorry about your intellectual dishonesty and inabillity to engage in rational discourse.

Howdy Doody might be better considering who was elected president. The next 4 years will be a show with no substance.:lamo

Excellent choice !

I love Keisler but I'm not sure how well he'd gel with the kind of organization Trump is putting together. Though I've heard outside rumors that some Bush people were pressing his case for a court appointment.

yeah he should have been on the DC CoA but I understand why he was blocked for political purposes.

Still posting and trying to sell that blantltat lie I see LMAO
only one problem theres ZERO proof to support that retarded lie and when asked for some you ran away just like we knew you would. If you disagree, please provided the factual proof that Tanngrisnir disapproves of people being AG who are simply religious, thanks . . .we'll wait :)
post 43 is still waiting on you
I did, i don't see anywhere that he actually said or even suggested "devout Christians" shouldn't be AG. Provide prove of your claim, thanks.
