Ted Cruz Considered by Trump for Attorney General

I'm sorry, but where did I assert otherwise?

LOL! No, there aren't. If you don't believe in the "magic" that Jesus and God himself can do, you aren't a devout Christian. How could you be? The very foundation of the religion is that Jesus can take away every wrongdoing you've ever done and after you die, you will live again. That's "magic".

Yes, there are. You can deny it till you're blue in the face, but it won't change reality no matter how desperately you wish it were so.

You should try reality some time.

So you agree with me now. The "magic" is what all devout Christians believe in. You think believing in the "magic" is fanatical and fanatical Christians shouldn't hold office. Therefore, you don't think devout Christians should hold office.

No, I don't. Why try and misrepresent what I've said here to try and back up a failed point you couldn't make?

What's the point in doing that?

I just explained it to you clearly in your own words. But I'll give you the benefit of the doubt.

So I'll ask again -- what attributes make a Christian "fanatical"?

Sometimes I love watching you work.

During the Republican Primary I rated Ted Cruz the most important candidate to defeat. I don't question his competence as a lawyer. I despised his hollow rhetoric, ultra-religious based, unabashed political ambition. I routinely described him as an obnoxious, pompous, litigious, religious, ambitious nerd (and meanly made references to his bulbous nose). I would ask people to Google Ted's campaign manager Big Jeff Roe. No entity tried harder than Team Cruz to stop Trump. We could feel the malice and bitterness between these two men. Now Ted, still bristling with political ambition... still dreaming to become our President ... not very popular with the Senate leadership, not very popular with the Texas voters anymore ... and in my opinion, a brilliant lawyer, if offered the AG spot, he takes it. After that, I predict a very tenuous and strained relationship with some of the other Trump insiders. Not so much with Steve Bannon, because Bannon backed Cruz in the Primary, but definitely with Donald and with Donald's son-in-law Jared Kushner.. who has quietly and quickly emerged a one of the most powerful Jewish Trump surrogates, even more powerful than Trump's lawyer Michael Cowen.

Continuing my derisive rant about Ted Cruz.... In my previous post I inadvertently omitted several other of my opinions. I like to also use the word duplicitous to describe Ted.... and note his resemblance to Grandpa Munster from the Addams family. Ted seemed to hope we would trust his revised version of his family history and not attempt to verify it through research. Ted's mom married in Texas, moved to England where she separated from her first husband. While separated she became pregnant from another man. This son, an older half-brother of Ted's, died before the age of two. Ted's mother relocated to New Orleans where she met Ted's dad. Ted's dad had already abandoned his first wife and their two daughters. Ted likes to describe his dad as a heroic rebel who escaped Castro's communist Cuba. Ted's parents moved to Canada where little Ted came into the world... perhaps even before his parents legally married. Then Ted's dad abandoned Ted and his mom... reconciling a year or so later and the three of them relocating to Texas... where Ted excelled academically, graduating Valedictorian in High School. Ted lacked athleticism and charm. His classmates in high school and Princeton generally considered him very smart and very nerdy. He distinguished himself in debate performances... and, later, at Harvard Law for his conservative ideology and academic skills. He clerked for the later Chief Justice Rehnquist. Fast forward- worked for the GW Administration...met Heidi...became Texas AG... argued 9 cases before the Supreme Court, winning 5 of them... became a darling of the Tea Party and successfully won a U.S. Senate seat in Texas. Back to those two older half-sisters- one became a Pediatrician, has a practice in Texas and avoids the limelight ... the other became a crack addict and died in Pennsylvania. Yeah... I can certainly understand why Ted might fit in as Trump's AG. Does any of this remind you of the Nazi Party's rise in Germany?
