Meh, I disagree with the conclusion. I think Trump will turn out to be such a disaster that buyer's remorse will end up being almost certain. But that's just my personal prediction.
Trump can't go 5 minutes without lying. He's a con artist through and through.
How are the democrats supposed to stop anything at all if they got nothing?

Nah, we'll do what you guys have been doing. Blame Trump for cloudy days and burnt out lightbulbs.
Where'd your sig line go?
There are rules in both the house and senate
They will have limited power in a few areas
Just as the republicans had limited power in Obama's first two years
Sorry but I don't see how the democrats hold any power at all.
Here's what I say to them, even though I despise Trump and am scared as hell of what's going to happen:
TOUGH SH!T!!!
How dare you sit on your asses and don't get out to vote when Donald 'f'ing Trump was a possibility.
I don't want to hear anything from the African American Community, who turned in lesser numbers for this election than they did for Obama. I don't want to hear Latinos whining about what happens to the illegals because they didn't turn out in big enough numbers either.
Women? Same damn thing.
You people stayed at home and now you reap what you've sow.
Thankfully I live in California and am a professional white male. It's not about anyone else's skin anymore but my own and that of my family's. If this people are so upset, then they should be protesting outside the doors of those who couldn't be bothered to mail in a g'damn ballot.
I wonder how many of these people just a few weeks ago were slamming Trump for not promising to accept the election results?
I heard that Hillary's concession speech was delivered by email.
I saw only a portion of Hillary's speech, but... she was human! I thought it was heartfelt and well done.To be fair, from what I've seen, Hillary's concession speech was as appropriate tone as Trump's victory speech was presidential.
Both were conciliatory, which I think is most appropriate for the occasion.
They can still filibuster.

I know, right? They're so peaceful and tolerant and adult-like.
I think that's just the way the game is played now. I don't like it--I certainly didn't like it when the Republicans did it. But what's the alternative? The Dems can't just roll over. And look what obstinance has done for the GOP. It worked for them. Any thinking by the Dems that if they work with Republicans, that such cooperation will be reciprocated down the road would be naive in the extreme.
At this point though, I give up. Trump is going to be the face of the nation for at least four years, but none of his policies should affect my rights one wit. I've been in the Army and I'm too old to get drafted back in. My two older kids aren't going because one is too old, the other ineligible, and my youngest is severely asthmatic, so military service is right out for all of them. Plus they're all white. I take the bar exam in July so my second career kicks off around this time next year. Things like trade wars, declining markets, etc. shouldn't affect me all that much considering the fields I'm choosing to work in. And if there are mass deportations, so be it. I casted my vote against Trump, but not enough people saw it that would be affected by it couldn't be bothered to vote, so whatever.
Nothing short of nuclear war scares me. It's those who didn't get out and vote who should be scared. But that's on them.
Hypocrisy?
If you shoot at someone, and then see they're about to fire back, you have no right to tell them to hold their fire.
This is the way the game is played now. Democrats need to "Make Trump a one term President." That should be their goal. Block everything he proposes, even if they agree with it--even if it would be good for the nation.
The GOP spent 8 years obstructing the function of the government and weaseled their way into a Supreme Court majority, and now they're going to ask the Democrats to play nice?
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!
Its Cali, so its Blue no matter what. I heard they want to secede.
Lol ! When Texans were talking about seccession the Left claimed it was tantamount to a declaration of war.
I heard that Hillary's concession speech was delivered by email.
Hypocrisy is the rule of the day for some it seems.
I wonder how many of them did not bother voting themselves?
