'Kept me out of jail': Top DOJ official involved in Clinton probe represented her campaign chairman | Fox News


The Justice Department official in charge of informing Congress about the newly reactivated Hillary Clinton email probe is a political appointee and former private-practice lawyer who kept Clinton Campaign Chairman John Podesta “out of jail,” lobbied for a tax cheat later pardoned by President Bill Clinton and led the effort to confirm Attorney General Loretta Lynch.

Peter Kadzik, who was confirmed as assistant attorney general for legislative affairs in June 2014, represented Podesta in 1998 when independent counsel Kenneth Starr was investigating Podesta for his possible role in helping ex-Bill Clinton intern and mistress Monica Lewinsky land a job at the United Nations.
“Fantastic lawyer. Kept me out of jail,” Podesta wrote on Sept. 8, 2008 to Obama aide Cassandra Butts, according to emails hacked from Podesta’s Gmail account and posted by WikiLeaks.

I don't need anything, and you surely don't presume to order anything from anyone....I have an opinion that is mine, just like you have an opinion that is yours. Our difference is that I don't care what your opinion is, and you seem to think, or feel the need to have me change my opinion. Only problem is, you don't persuade me to do so, all you do is act like other liberals and insult.

I know this election cycle has degraded politics, but implying Fox is reputable and reliable source is a bit of a stretch.

Good question.

I have my suspicions, but it's not what I was referring to. That Fox piece looks like smoke and mirrors. It needs more to be taken seriously, as does Fox.

In all fairness, we all know who the more reliable sources are and which ones where most of the bull**** is posted. I do not fault somebody for being skeptical when the ONLY source is a highly partisan one.

I agree however that you cannot dismiss the information ONLY because it is cited by a source you don't appreciate. And I have often said that I'll believe this or that when somebody other than the highly partisan source supports it.

But you are all right that a proper rebuttal will include information showing how the source manufactured, misstated, or manipulated the information. In the case of wikileaks, so far nobody that I know of has been able to show that they are not the real deal.
