WASHINGTON — For much of the summer, the F.B.I. pursued a widening investigation into a Russian role in the American presidential campaign. Agents scrutinized advisers close to Donald J. Trump, looked for financial connections with Russian financial figures, searched for those involved in hacking the computers of Democrats, and even chased a lead — which they ultimately came to doubt — about a possible secret channel of email communication from the Trump Organization to a Russian bank.


Law enforcement officials say that none of the investigations so far have found any conclusive or direct link between Mr. Trump and the Russian government. And even the hacking into Democratic emails, F.B.I. and intelligence officials now believe, was aimed at disrupting the presidential election rather than electing Mr. Trump.

Well, let's read tens of thousands of emails from Trump's closest advisors before we decide. He (Trump) is under investigation for Trump "University," even the article says no "clear direct" ties to Russia were found (that clears him how?) and that Wikileaks was merely trying to disrupt the election (which is different from trying to get Trump elected how?). No tax returns, cheating on his wife, sexualizing his daughter, destroying a scientific area in Scotland to build a golf course, allegations of bribing Scottish government officials to do so. It goes on and on. I won't repeat Hillary's issues because there are hundreds of pages discussing them.

Neither candidate should be President. We should all vote for somebody else. I will. Will you. And if you won't, why?

This is the same FBI that investigated Hillary, just so ya know.

There'll never be a better chance to get a viable third option off the ground. If everyone who doesn't like either Clinton or Trump would vote for a third party, you got instant electoral reform.

The race card is a good one, but don't forget "income inequality." Oops, Bill and Hillary and Chelsea and The Clinton Global Initiative are just a huge bunch of gazzillionaires. And, to think, almost all of their vast wealth came from countries that kill gays and oppress women...and the rest came from stealing the poor bastards in Haiti completely blind after their country was devastated by that God-awful earthquake. Those Clintons are some really special folks.

When the FBI finds Hillary isn't guilty of criminal behavior, I'm sure right-wingers will accept the outcome.

The thing about Trump is his long standing involvement with disreputable characters.

Which is not surprising, he works well with the corrupt, being corrupt himself. That includes Russian crony capitalists that are close to Putin, but also in a bunch of other countries.

If you haven't paid attention to David Cay Johnston's work, odds are you don't know half what you should about Trump.

Comey has refused to give any conclusion on this matter. We do not know. What makes you think you know? Or, are you just trolling?

Your post had a direct conclusion that the FBI had no evidence of a Trump-Russia connection. That is your conclusion, at least in agreement with the unreferenced NYT. You didn't say anything about them in your post. Don't try and hide behind their skirt. The FBI has not commented on whether or not they have any such evidence. You can't know that "...the FBI has found no evidence to support the allegations of a Trump/Russia connection..." as you posted, in your own words, without any reference to the NYT.

Seems they've thrown everything else. I suspect it's going to get ever more crazier and unbelievable from here on out from them.
