But they have stiff gun control laws and that is all that matters, right?

But it's not the Chicagoan's fault, don'cha see. It's the fault of the fault of Indiana, Ohio, even Virginia, North Carolina, and Arizona.

If the rest of the world would enact Chicago's failed policies, crime would magically disappear everywhere.

Pass that joint this way, having trouble with the logic..........

If every American citizen carried a firearm, crime would then become nonexistent. I say pass an amendment that requires every U.S citizen over the age of 12 to carry a gun at all times.

Meanwhile Chicago doesn't even break into the top 10 in violent crimes per capita. But nevermind that... Erod has to post chicago crime thread updates every week.

yet it is still one of the most violent cities out there.
despite all their strict gun laws.

3,511 shootings in less than 10 months!

Oh... now that you put it in all caps... I guess all those statistics out there don't really mean anything anymore.

Most of those shootings came within a small geographical area.

These are actual shootings, not brandishing a gun in a liquor store.

I forgot how you actually said you don't like statistics and think that liberals use them to placate themselves.

Nope Chicago gun violence is up 88% this year regardless of their strict gun laws.
So tell us again how strict gun laws make people safer.

You quoted my post and didn't even address it... typical.

Strict gun laws in a confined area don't work too well when you can just cross the border, buy a gun and be back in town in minutes. If you think gun laws are so damn bad, take a look at the North East where the laws are more strict but being in a larger area you can't just cross the border to buy a gun and come back so easily.

This Is How Chicago Gets Flooded With Illegal Guns

Q: Where do you get an illegal firearm?

A: From someplace where it's legal.

*sigh*
as typical denial fallacies are just that. I did address it.
The fact is gun violence is on the rise and Chicago is listed as one of the top 20 cities.

in fact it I ranked number 24.

Maybe if people were allowed to defend themselves then gun violence would go down as it does in most other cities that allow you to arm and defend yourself.
Yep restricting law abiding citizens from defending themselves against criminals is bad.

Chicago's murder rate soars 72% in 2016; shootings up more than 88%
and this was just in april.

hrrmmmm... well if YOU ranked it 24th... why aren't you in here cranking out threads about #14 Nashville once a week instead of #24 Chicago? I wonder why that is?

we aren't talking about Nashville are we? what is this thread about? please stay on topic.
I am not cranking out anything you need to ask the OP that.

Of course we aren't becuase we have to have stupid threads once a week or more about #24 Chicago just for political stunts.

Your obvious dodge is noted.

That would double crime rate, especially murder.

While we're at it, we might was well include the answer to the question, "How come the police always shoot unarmed black people? Can't they use their Tasers?" Notice how long this "unarmed" suspect is being tased as he pounds a female Chicago officer's head into the pavement by grabbing her hair to the point of unconsciousness.
