Ben & Jerry's declare support for Black Lives Matter

Those monsters.

Fox News Exclusive: Did Ben & Jerry's add secret ingredient to incite violent BLM protests?

[Digs into a Ben & Jerry's pint of Chocolate Fudge Brownie, expecting the nostalgic gooey chocolatiness from childhood yore. Bites down into brownie instant mix instead].

[Childhood ruined]

I would boycott them, but I have never actually purchased any of their products. In my opinion, Tillamook is much better ice cream and I can understand what flavor I'm actually getting.

you find the flavors confusing? hahahahaha

These two yahoos have been police haters for years, so its not entirely surprising.

Would you buy Ben & Jerry's ice cream knowing they support an organization whose name has been used in countless riots and beat downs of random white people for no apparent reason, as well as millions of dollars of damage across multiple states in arson and theft?

If B&J gave me freebies and discounts I would join BLM too. Their ice cream is so good.

B&J has been replaced by a hundred gourmet ice creams that are better. I suspect at this point that their brand is coasting exclusively on nostalgia.

I'll be honest, I like any old ice cream, even the cheap stuff that grocery chains produced in cardboard boxes!

Hey, don't sell those short. Some of the Vons brand are legitimately good.

Growing up in the 80's every time it was Christmas, thanksgiving or birthdays, my mom would buy buckets of them lol

Why would anyone boycott a company for endorsing respect for all human life? What would their objection be? That police should be allowed to shoot people of a specific demographic with impunity? Boy they must be such upstanding human beings.

If they support them, why don't they do business in their neighborhoods? The baloney is getting thicker allll the time.

Yep. If you think black lives matter, you hate cops. That's the world we live in today.

No....

But Ben and Jerry have been known to invest in legal funds to help the murderers of Police Officers........

By supporting BLM, and actually acting as if the Charlotte Incident had anything to do with "unjust killing of unarmed black men", Ben and Jerry's have proven that they don't even bother to look at the facts of these cases, they make up their own facts that support their liberal ideals and agenda....

AND THAT, is why I would boycott them.

Yeah, and Black Bears matter too. All we hear about are the poor polar bears, and them sumbitches are white.

Hope your Saturday and your weather are better than here. It's been raining for two days non-stop now. I guess I can clean - a self-rewarding enterprise. I do think I've rewarded myself more than sufficiently the past few days though.

It's 52 degrees and windy, but sunny.

Daughter is traveling, so I've got her dogs. A few minutes ago, the Yorkie and Chihuahua were having a mock battle with lots of dancing around, high-pitched yips and faux growling. The female Pekinese watched a while, then walked over and grabbed the Yorkie's hind leg with both paws so he couldn't move. He turned his head around to look at her with the most disgusted look on his face which clearly said "For God's sake woman, unhand me and leave me alone. We were just playing!" She didn't listen, of course, and her look back at him clearly said, "listen Buster, I rule here so you guys just knock it off! *They did!* :lamo I'm still laughing....

Accused murderers.

How were convicted murderers helped by this fund?

Not exactly sure...

Does it matter to me? No. The fact that these turds support convicted cop killers is enough for me to say "**** those guys".

Really? No conceivable details could convince you otherwise?

If you don't know how any individuals were helped, how do you even know they were helped at all? Someone just told you "they help murderers?" And you just accepted it at face value, without context?

i'm still amused by the folks who are confused about their ice cream flavors :)

Ben & Jerry's lost my support when they stopped producing New York Super Fudge Chunk.

Seriously. How dare they. :violin

Assuming that the Charlotte incident was spurious, that doesn't disprove the phenomenon of cops shooting unarmed black men at a grossly disproportionate rate. Your attempt to deny such a substantiated phenomenon by means of one contested anecdote demonstrates your bias and an agenda that for whatever reason has an interest in denying that reality.

B & J is an overpriced brand coasting on their past glories. For me, any of the Tillamook berry ice creams are a better deal with excellent quality.

Every time a narrative is proven wrong, people fall back to this "general theory" that cops are shooting unarmed black men at a "grossly disproportionate rate".

Tell me, what is grossly disproportionate about it???

Let me show you why I think that this narrative is wrong.

https://www.theguardian.com/us-news...un/01/the-counted-police-killings-us-database

If you go to that website, change the filter data to unarmed/gunshot/black You will see this year 28 unarmed black people were killed by police. Then change it to white, you will see that 40 unarmed white people were shot.

Now, you may be one of those people who seem to think that these ratios should equal out to a number closer to the "But blacks are only 13% of the population" narrative, however that entire narrative is based on an "all things equal" mentality.
In reality, blacks who are 13% of the population commit 37% of the violent crime (including slightly more than 50% of all murders), black people make contact with police through investigations and calls for service at a much higher rate than is proportionate to them being a mere 13% of the population. Oh, and black people murder police officers at a rate that is extremely disproportionate to them being 13% of the population.

These sorts of things factor in much more so than merely what % of the population you make up.
