Just to be clear - this bill only allows U.S. citizens to prosecute Saudi citizens for actions against U.S. citizens or on U.S. soil. Correct?

I don't think we'll ever know what role President Bush 2 really played in all of that. I like to think that he was manipulated, because he seems like a nice guy to me, but it seems obvious that at least one person high up in his administration had nefarious intent.

As a liberal, i do not hold prejudice against ALL Muslims simply because some subset of Muslims hold views that i disagree with.

I agree that for the perpetrators, plausible deniability would be important, and for that reason Dubya was kept in the dark about certain details.

But his entire family back to his grandfather have been crooks in high places. And it always seemed to me that Cheney was really running the show.

That's also complete bull****. I consider myself conservative in many ways, however, i think we should seek progress over regress.

Did Schumer become a Republican? Is the whole house comprised of Republicans? How many votes does it take to override a veto? Do the Republicans have enough seats in the Senate and the House to over ride a veto?

i believe the veto has not commenced yet, much less the attempt to override
let's see how this plays out

Wait ... so holding the current state of American conservatism in contempt (which I, for one, certainly do, it's a laughable ideology in its current state of practice) means that you are OK with ****ty people killing gay people in Saudi Arabia? Um ... what?

You still missed my point. For some inane reason you are blaming "the republicans" for something that hasn't happened yet obviously missing or ignoring the fact that the vote was unanimous. If you want to blame "the republicans" for something good, well, go for it. Thanks.

If there was true concern for the families of 911 why wouldn't we have a second 9-11 commission. We had 8 or 9 Benghazi investigations because Fox news published a vile and disgusting lie about stand down orders. And the justification for the multiple investigations was we just knew President Obama was lying. yea, literally "we just know" was the reason. Now in spite of speaking only to the chairman, only in secret, only for an hour and not under oath we know Cheney lied to the 9-11 commission.

There will not be a second 911 "investigation" just like there won't be a second JFK or MLK "investigation".

For the most part, government "investigations" are meant to protect the guilty and mislead the masses.
