    "Be very careful," warned Powell. "I got around it all by not saying much and not using systems that captured the data," he said, referring to private discussions outside the agency's classified system.

    So he warned her not to use official devices as they were subject to the law and admitted he got "around it"..

    In the email, Powell expressed frustration over State Department rules regarding the use of personal digital assistants (PDAs) and mobile phones in secure spaces.

    "When I asked why not they gave me all kinds of nonsense about how they gave out signals and could be read by spies, etc.," Powell said in the email.

    "I had numerous meetings with them. We even opened one up for them to try to explain to me why it was more dangerous than say, a remote control for one of the many tvs in the suite. Or something embedded in my shoe heel," Powell said in the email.

    Powell said the NSA and CIA never gave him a satisfactory answer, "so, we just went about our business and stopped asking." He said he used an "ancient" version of a PDA — the predecessor of the modern-day smart phone.

    In other words, he was told why he had to use official devices and system.. they were too slow (no ****), so he used it sometimes but also an insecure private AOL email account and other methods that did not capture data so it could be subject to the law...

Your amnesia is claiming that Powell did the same thing, when it couldn't be further from the truth. He used AOL, not some private hillbilly server stowed away in Clinton's office or bathroom. He also didn't communicate classified data over it.

First point is you said she did not break the law... but now you are backing off that. Second, this is not just some traffic stop. A cop, on a benign code violation, may give a warning, sure... this was not on even close to the same level as ordinary traffic stop.

As I already told you:

I don't give a **** whether it was a private server, AOL (which is demonstrably worse, btw), smoke signals or carrier pigeon. The motives were the same.

I also can't be bothered to give a **** when the emails she sent weren't even marked top secret, secret or even confidential. Snooze fest.

Inappropriate? Yes. But I also wear socks with my sandals when I'm alone, which in the grand scheme of things is measurably worse.

Also, how you do you know he didn't communicate classified data over it?

Other than in one of the email chains uncovered, I believe there were the instructions to staff to remove the classified headers and send he content anyway. Something related to a secure fax if I recall.

Your inability to understand the difference is funny: the fact that Powell used a public server is even more dangerous for a "mistake". Hillary completely separated here personal stuff from state stuff.

People need to knock off the US vs. Them aspect of the Hillary email scandal.

Any GS-1 through GS-15 government employee would have:

Lost their clearance
Lost their job & pension
Fined
Possible jail time.

Well, sure, there are a lot of conversations and emails that I've sent or had that I do not recall any of it.

Moreover, the fact that Hillary got an entire server to further separate her personal stuff from state business only shows how dedicated she was about NOT that separation.

So, I think it further illustrates that Clinton had no intention of sharing classified stuff outside the circle.

Powell engaged in shady **** and circumvention of the law/FOIA, and advised Hillary on how to do the same; this only condemns Powell and absolves Clinton of nothing. If anything it only makes even more painfully explicit her intent and commitment to avoiding transparency and accountability in seeking out (and implementing) this kind of advice for exactly that reason.

She said from the beginning that other secretary of states did the same thing, and now it's proven.
