Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump has run an unusually cheap campaign in part by not paying at least 10 top staffers, consultants and advisers, some of whom are no longer with the campaign, according to a review of federal campaign finance filings.

That's right. Just like Trump stiffed workers in his construction projects, he is stiffing his own "paid" campaign staffers out of pay. Even his fellow Vladimir Putin loving comrade, Paul Manafort, got stiffed.

Out of all the qualified Republicans who ran for president this year, THIS is the Bozo they nominated? Yes, Donald Trump IS going to make America great again. He is doing that by destroying the Republican Party.

I can't see where they complained. How is one "stiffed" if they don't have any complaint? The article raises a good question but it doesn't prove the guys were stiffed.

From the article:

One of the 10 who were unpaid, Michael Caputo, told a Buffalo radio station in June after he resigned from the campaign, that he was not volunteering. Rather, he said he just had not gotten paid. Caputo confirmed to Reuters on Thursday that the Trump campaign has still not paid his invoices.

Reading is fundamental.

I missed that. Sorry. So one guy out of ten. I wonder what that situation is about.

Trump only cares about one person, and that's Trump. He has no loyalty to the party or his country. But that's the tell tale sign of a narcissist.

I cant put my finger exactly on it, but for some reason Trump inspires a passion and a generosity in others like we almost never see anymore. This guy is cut from ancient cloth. Donald J Trump was paying attention when pops was talking to him. Lucky for us.

If you work for Trump's campaign, you deserve it.

Actually, you would think that running a Presidential campaign is the kind of thing that would attract high quality people that would work it for a Dollar.

What the article doesn't mention is if there was any agreement about pay. If there was, then the injured party may have grounds to complain. If there wasn't, then this is a non-issue being drummed up by the media.

Given the way the media...including Reuters...has been tossing around their spin and slant this year, I'd bet on the non-issue alternative. (if I were a gambling sort of person)

Another consideration:

Trump has largely been self-funding. I suspect that induces him to be frugal with his spending habits...as opposed to Hillary, whose funding is probably 100% other people's money and who tosses money around like she has a never-ending supply.

Which one would make a good President? The frugal, money-conscious man or the lady with someone else's credit card?

I don't know that frugal is the word I'd use to describe a candidate who just refuses to pay venues, entertainment, or even their own staff. Racking up bills you can't or won't pay isn't frugal.

Oh...so now Trump is being accused of not paying venues and entertainment? Of racking up bill he can't or won't pay? Do you have credible evidence of that?

I've already cast doubt on your contention that Trump refuses to pay his staff.

Trump has a very long and extensive history of not paying his bills including dozens of violations of the Fair Labor Standards Act for failing to compensate his employees.

USA TODAY exclusive: Hundreds allege Donald Trump doesn’t pay his bills

You have haven't cast doubt on anything. You attacked the source without addressing the content. Failure to compensate employees is a hallmark of the Trump brand.

Trump is like a BuddhaJesus!

Let's all do an abstract dance!

I most certainly did address the content. I talked exclusively about the article's lack of pertinent information that, depending on that information, either makes this story worthwhile or not.

btw, that article of yours is much the same. Full of innuendo and very little in the way of pertinent facts. But hey...it supports your conspiracy theory so it's good stuff, right?

Only someone suffering from Trump Deragement Syndrome would say that thousands of verifiable lawsuits and dozens of violations of the Fair Labor Standards Act cited by the US Department of Labor for failure to compensate employees is a conspiracy theory. The legal record shows that Trump doesn't pay his bills.

And accusations don't provide proof.

The key sentence buried in your hit piece, er news report:

To be sure, Trump and his companies have prevailed in many legal disputes over missing payments, or reached settlements that cloud the terms reached by the parties.

You've proved nothing. Liens and withholding payment for shoddy work are commonplace in construction and real estate development.

Citations from the department of labor provide proof as do the details of the lawsuits in the article.

I have an anecdote that'll illustrate why all that stuff is nothing but blather.

Some years ago I did work for a company that was controlled by strict DOT regulations. I took those regulations very seriously. Well, we underwent a DOT inspection and the inspector found that we were in violation of the regulations and we were fined $8,000. I believed the violation was in error and put together an appeal that established that the regulations were worded in such a way that no company in our business could possibly comply with it. After a year and a half, DOT finally responded and said only that they were not going to demand that we pay the fine...but they did not admit that the regulation was a bad regulation. To this day, DOT has not corrected their regulation. My company made extensive efforts to make other companies who did similar work aware of this event and I'm sure we prevented some, if not all, fellow companies from suffering the same treatment.

Now...if one were to apply your reasoning, you would, to this day, contend that...according to the records...my company willfully violated DOT regulations and avoided paying our fine when, in fact, that didn't happen. This is the same kind of reasoning you are applying to these Trump situations and, like my company's situation, it is all nothing but bunk.

So yeah...unless you present the WHOLE story, those articles, your defense of them and your bias-based allegations are nothing but bunk.

It is abundantly clear that your anecdote is meaningless. Trump was busted for manipulating time cards to erase overtime hours and paying employees below the minimum wage. He's guilty and had to pay all of those workers back wages. He's a con artist, a crook, and a swindler who doesn't honor his contractual obligations. Unfit for office.

If you didn't read the article... Then understand Trump is never going to pay you the 10 cents an hour he hired you to post this unbelievable garbage.

I missed that. Sorry. So one guy out of ten. I wonder what that situation is about.

Really?

It is well established that Trump tries not to pay his bills whenever he thinks he can get away with it.

no. You haven't.

Trump runs a "low-cost" campaign because he got free media. Everywhere you go, it's all Trump. No publicity is bad publicity.

Still inconclusive without the whole story.

My company could have just paid the fine...and then you could say, "See!!! They willfully violated DOT regulations!! BAD COMPANY!!". But that still wouldn't be an accurate assessment of the event.

Perhaps, unlike my company, Trump decided it would be more cost effective to just pay the fine. I don't know if that's a fact, but then, I'm not jumping on the "Trump is a bad guy" bandwagon over it.
