The left doesn't embrace the status quo. The left wanted Bernie Sanders as president. It's the mainstream Democrats, and, since Trump has become the nominee, a lot of the mainstream Republicans who will elect Hillary.

The best that can be hoped for at this point is that the Republicans will get their act together by 2020 and nominate someone who can win and who can actually bring about some changes, that and that they can hang on to Congress.

You certainly have your take. I disagree.

Bernie Sanders lost, so your claim about the left doesn't stand up to review. Hillary Clinton is Super Sized Status Quo. While she may have pandered to Bernie at the DNC, her record makes it crystal clear that is all it was, pandering.

In November, the vote will boil down to Super Status Quo, or Anything But Status Quo. We'll see where the mood of the country is when the time comes.

One thing is certain, IMO, the Republican Elites have been put on notice, the ball is in their court, and voters are watching. On the left, nothing close to that has occurred.

Sanders lost because there aren't enough on "the left" to nominate him.
I agree that Clinton represents the status quo. She's not going to make any big changes in the government.

No, the vote will boil down to keeping the status quo or electing a demagogue and conman. I'm confident the voters would rather keep the status quo.

Well, I'm a bit more confident voters will see through the lies, fraud and distortions of Hillary Clinton, her MSM campaign arm, and the rest of the operations that make up her liberal/socialist progressive noise machine.

Yup. The GOP, just like the Democratic Party, needs some new leadership. And hopefully next time people won't be suckered into believing a liberal real estate developer con man is the leadership the party needs.

The reason that democrats didn't so violently reject their "status quo" is that their "status quo" wasn't a monumental failure.

Still way better than having 4,000 Americans killed over lies costing $2 trillion, bringing us to the brink of global socioeconomic collapse from blind deregulation, hamstringing our recovery to pander to the rich, and then refusing to compromise in historic obstructionism.
