North Korea Fires Missile from Submarine

He's been our President for a while at this point. International relations as well as the rise of this behavior only goes to show that he has no real control or influence in the world.

You think North Korea respected us in 2007?

And some people cannot figure out how they make it onto Ignore lists, my my my.

A. How in the hell would you know?
B. What could he have done?
C. Thanks for the laugh.

We need a President with a set of balls, who is more interested in national security than staying on the golf course and playing it safe. The empty suit that we have now is in way over his head. And we are paying for it.

How about putting someone in office that wasn't a "Community Organizer" and can actually can handle the job?

Who, like , Nixon, Reagan, Bush Sr, Bush Junior? They all did a great job handling NK, especially Junior, calls them out in the Axis of Evil and invades a different country while NK arms itself with Nukes. Oh and the Dems did no better, or worse. What is your suggestion to deal with the problem, clue don't forget to look north before going off half-cocked.

North Korea has fired its first submarine-launched ballistic missile, according to reports from South Korea

North Korea 'fires missile from submarine' - BBC News

And the slide down the slippery slope continues.

At one time, experts used to speak with concern about the potential emergence of "nuclear blackmail" from rogue states. That such phrases are no longer part of the lexicon of analysts and commentators is an ominous indication that those are no longer hypothetical scenarios - we're actually living in that world today - a brave new world.

I don't think THAAD can protect against ballistic missiles or cruise missiles launched from submarines.

I think the North Koreans have been getting a lot of help under the table from the Chinese.

North Korea has a submarine? Thats news to me.

Your inability to answer what I asked duly noted.

What do you think the President should do about North Korea?

Obviously, it's not just the missile, it's the combination of that and them having nukes. They should have been stopped through negotiations. But, as we see with how well Obama did with Iran, I doubt he had the ability to keep us secure. Another little downside of having a community organizer as president, increased nuclear threats. No biggie, right?

In hindsight, what action would you propose?

How about putting someone in office that wasn't a "Community Organizer" and can actually can handle the job?

Thank you for demonstrating what I already knew. You don't actually have an answer. You think the world works on some sitcom high school logic. Just have a guy who "looks tough" and everything will be fine. Laughable.

So, you have no idea what to do differently, but know Obama did it wrong. Did North Korea "respect" us in 2007?

Negotiations did not work for Clinton or Bush, that is why the President is not negotiating with North Korea. The North Koreans welshed on the last two presidents. Got any other ideas?

It's probably simulated. They put the missile in an unmanned launch tube and dumped it in the ocean.

This would not surprise me. Their entire nation is built on a foundation of shoddy propaganda.

It also wouldn't surprise me if the missile was in a manned launch tube that they dumped in the ocean. ;)

Every day some right-winger plays the Bush Card Card.

Yeah, I'm playing the Bush Card Card; what are you going to do about it? Sue me? :lamo

Funny answer. Do you think I am qualified to be President of the United States? I guess you must, since you think I have those answers and access to top secret information. Hillary is no longer SOS, so that info is not available. I'm flattered anyway, thank you!
