Go Ted!!!!! I've never been a big Cruz fan; however, my level of respect for him went up by at least 87%.
I've seen a lot of conventions. This one... /facepalm... I don't even know how to describe it. I pretty much loathe both Cruz and Trump, and was fervently hoping Kasich would somehow end up as the candidate, but damn. What a circus.
If you don't keep your word, what does that say about your character?
Did you expect anything more from a crowd of Trump Sheeple? You're quite the optimist aren't you? :lol:I don't care what they thought, boo'ing is one thing, becoming so hostile that the speaker and his family have to be escorted through aggressive, screaming crowds is not okay.
I despise Cruz as a politician but you know what? Good for him. Maybe he did just sabatoge his career. But during the campaign Trump attacked Cruz' family. What kind of lowlife would endorse someone who did that? At least Cruz and the Bushes have shown there is something they put before their party. Their families.
If Ted Cruz didn't plan on "playing nice", he probably shouldn't have agreed to speak at the convention. But, with that said, I don't really blame him for not endorsing the man who insulted Cruz's wife and insinuated Cruz's father was part of JFK assassination. I feel like the people criticizing Cruz probably would feel differently if they were in his shoes.
Then he shouldn't have agreed to speak at Trumps convention. Cruz just showed hes a self-serving ass and why it is that no one likes him.

Nope. You go after my family and I get the chance to take a jab at you like that? I'm taking it.

Yeah. How tasteless at a GOP convention to say that we should support the Constitution, and vote for our values.
Ted Cruz pledged to support Donald Trump if Donald Trump won the nomination. Donald Trump won the nomination.
Ted Cruz has exposed his true character. Ted Cruz' pledge isn't worth a cup of warm piss.
Nice try dude, but I didn't say that. Cruz has always been an asshole and has always been strong on Constitutional law. He proved that again tonight.

YOu're upset at him for... what? Saying that people should vote for candidates who they trust to defend the constitution? Saying that we should vote for people who share our values?
Because that's why he got boo'd.
Then you are as petty and small as Cruz is.
Im not upset at him. I never liked the guy and still don't. Hes an asshole and showed why it is that people who know the man cant stand him.
Would you endorse someone who attacked your wife? What would THAT say about your character?
It's a republican convention, too. By alienating Cruz and his supporters, the Trump supporters may have just killed off their only chance to win the election...imo.
And don't forget, Trump also suggested that GOP leaders who didn't support him, should be punished by, "never being allowed to run for office again." Yeah.....that's the American way! Wait..........:lamo Coming from anyone who supported a man who spent literally the entire primary coyly threatening to run independent if he wasn't treated nicely, and who then viciously attacked the families of his opponents.......
Then you are as petty and small as Cruz is.
Wasn't that AFTER the Cruz camp attacked Trump's wife?

Well, at least one Republican isn't afraid to buck the party line and not endorse the Donald. Good for you, Ted Cruz. Still don't like you much, but I can respect that you're sticking to your guns...I mean conservative principles.
