Police: Officers shot, killed gunman in Houston

Well then, now you know what part of the problem is. The part is a management thing: Police Face Severe Shortage of Recruits - ABC News

San Jose had a hell of a time for while due to "cutbacks" and "pension reform".

I was talking to a friend who went through a local academy. Top of his class...he was having a hard time getting a job...because he wouldn't go work for Orlando. They were down like 45 officers. What is going to happen is we are going to see an increase in crime with the reduction in officers. People don't realize how important enforcement is. And of course: guns, the NRA, Christians, and Muslims will be blamed.

I am still interested in doing law enforcement, but my epilepsy might actually hold me back. I'm talking to a friend who is trying to convince me to be a parole officer. Different line of work, and a noble profession in my book. The objective is to reduce recidivism. But the pay sucks for sure.

Little Obama (Councilman Dwight Boykins) used the occasion to make a statement about white racism and the solution:

We talked to the area's city council member who says these issues (What issues are those, Councilman?) need to be addressed in the community.

Dwight Boykins tells KTRK, "The biggest gorilla in the room is very clear. (White racism, no doubt.) We need to put officers in neighborhoods that reflect the neighborhood."

Let me post the part of the story that kind of pisses me off:

No, Eric, the man didn't have a target on his back. He had a gun in his hand, and was pointing it directly at the police officers. Look, I am on your side when it comes to unnecessary police shootings, but when you say crap like this, it isn't helping your case at all. This was a justified shooting, no matter how you want to spin this. Looks to me like you just hate cops. That's all. Please take your shtick some place else. I'm not buying it.

Article is here
.

Just a quick look on Twitter shows that Eric isn't in the minority here. This is why there is so much division with Black Lives Matter. Because most of them will sit there and defend a guy pointing a gun over a police officer who wasn't.

Perhaps the media should stop giving mike time to people unless they are willing to challenge ridiculous statements like that.

:lamo Donald Trump should never have a place in front of a microphone ever again then. :lamo

(Sorry...just couldn't resist...you left that one wide open!)

I'm not either. But apparently many in urban areas are and videos back that fear up.

That's called, "propaganda", and, "brainwashing".

That's called, "propaganda", and, "brainwashing".

So, those videos were really produced by Steven Spielberg?

I had no idea

Prove it.

Michael Brown killed, when he tried to kill Darren Wilson.

Eric Garner stroked out because he decided to resist arrest.

Alton Sterling died because he got in a fight with two cops and went for the illegal firearm in his pocket.

Lastly, 60%+ of the people killed by cops are white.

Over 90% of black murder victims are murdered by another black person. Black people have more to fear from other black people than they do cops.

Black people killed by cops - 2.5%
Black people killed by other Black people - 90%+

Do the math.

Those are your opinions. You haven't proved anything.

are you able to contradict his numbers. They sure line up with what I have found, looking at this issue

No, those are facts, unless, of course you can post official findings that state otherwise.

In the press conference done by the Black Congressional Caucus immediately following the Dallas massacre, the two shootings and deaths of black men by police officers in Louisiana and Minnesota, were called "murders" by those congressmen.

As long as we have high elected officials making such inflaming, enraging, and speculative determinations in a rush to condemn the police and claim racism as the root cause of all black deaths from gunfire, then the atmosphere of civil unrest (the beginnings of civil war) will continue to escalate. The White House, many in the Congress, some Governors as you pointed out, many Mayors such as in Baltimore, Philadelphia, Los Angeles, and New York, certain supposed Civil Rights group leaders, as well as a large and overwhelming portion of the media are all fueling the violence.

Here's the video where the CBC calls the shootings in Louisiana and Minnesota murders:

Look at the 1:28, and 3:26 marks in the video...

And yet so few people call these rabble rousers out. Shameful.

And yet so few people call these rabble rousers out. Shameful.

Because if you do so publically, you're immediately called a racist and/or bigot. Who wants to go through that? Once they call you that on MSNBC, CNN, or any other public source, you are guilty as charged... and it's impossible to change that perception.
